Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope

[Oriana Bronzeguard]

Oriana adjusts her footing slightly to avoid falling from the impact from the scout's blade, sweat trickling down her face.

Keeping that shield up was paramount to the former guard as she lunged forward to lay a hand on Arielle, the salty brine of her healing balm washing over the otherworldly being, mending her wounds.

While still outreached, Oriana formed a frozen chunk of ice around her hand and swung it into the kobold next to her, the ice and the reptiles skull shattering on impact before pulling back into her familiar defensive stance.

Actions:
1st: Raise Shield.
2nd: Ocean's Balm on Arielle. 1d8=8 HP restored.
3rd: Elemental Blast (cold). 1d20+7=23 Hit. 1d8=6 cold damage.

[Harley the Barbarian]

The confines of the hallway were too much for the raging young woman, so pivoting, she released her war maul letting it slam to the floor as she moved toward the kobold, death in her gaze, a wicked grin on her lips and the sudden appearance of the razor sharp dagger in her hand. 


Action 1: Releasing the Maul.

Action 3: Drawing her Dagger for a little close combat fun.

[Toryn Togglebit]

Toryn ran as fast as his stubby legs would allow, cutting through the overgrown courtyard and looping back north into the hallway. The first kobold he encountered would get a complimentary shank in the flank.

[Brilliant Breeze]

Breezy seeing Oriana surrounded repeats his last attack again hoping to clear some space for the elementalist. The small druid summons the electrical energy and directs it at two of the kobolds.

Action:
1 &2 Electric Arc

Damage: 2d4 = 5

Dunndero will rinse and repeat his stated actions from last round.

[Larz Oathtaker]

Seeing the Kobold infront of Harly turn to run away, and knowing that Toryn was circling up behind the other Kobold. Larz holds until he sees the Kobold infront of the armory door way to fall then he advances quickly entering the armory and stepping up to the fallen Lucian he first swings with all his might slamming the Kobold scout in the side with his war hammer, as he yells. Everyone attack their leader! before kneeling beside Lucian and quickly patches the mage up, as lucian opens his eyes to the face of the grinning dwarf. You'll not be diein on my watch Capin.

[Satoru Hanzo]

Satoru watches Larz slip in, slam his hammer into Gurtlekep’s face, and then bring Lucian back to consciousness.  Then the pitiable, little kobold is surrounded.  “Good to have you back, Lucian.  As for you, you little wretch, don’t count on clemency here.  They appear to be out for blood and I’m in no position, nor of any particular mind, to even bother dissuading them.  Enjoy the rest of your days under their tender ministrations.”

He then nods to Arielle, quite the worse for wear, and raises his shield…just in case.  She nods back to him, then turns to regard the little creature for the briefest of moments before her hand turns to its usual amber-studded bark just before cleaving through the air occupied by him.

Acting together (2 actions)
Action 1: Satoru pities the kobold and raises his shield
Action 2 & 3: Arielle casts Gouging Claw while flanking. (Attacks for 24 22, deals full 10 damage plus full 4 persistent bleed damage…wow, she was ANgry.)

[Lucian]

Lucan's eyes popped open to see Larz getting him back in the fight. He gives Larz a quick nod and the wizards voice comes out with slightly ragged breath as his lung closes up, "Thanks brother!"  
Then he immediately shot out his hand and let loose a barrage of Force bolts at Kobold Leader, "I was saving this for you, you little fucker!"

[DM Dread]

Harley dropped the Maul, and snarled at the Kobold, pulling a dagger and her gaze said it all...that his skin would adorn her armor...and the Kobold started shaking and turned and ran back through the den. trying to escape. He could be heard moving through the barrier in a hurry to get away.


The other Kobold to her front. looked on in fear and started backing up down the hallway. then he spun and headed as fast as he could  out towards the courtyard and coming out he ran right into Toryn  and stopped in shock.


In the room a Kobold who had been electrocuted a few seconds ago, stabbed out at Oriana with the spear. and stumbled over one of bodies laying in the room and almost fell flat on its face. Looking up at her with fear in its eyes. The last Kobold, who also had black scorch marks on its scales stabbed at Arielle but could not penetrate the ward placed on her by Satoru as the Summoner once again suffered for his ally.

With his path clear to The Armory, and knowing the fleeing kobold would run into Toryn, Larz rushed into the room right up next to Lucians body, and glared at the Kobold, swiging his warhammer he caught the Leader of this assault in the side and felt a rib give way from the force of the blow. Then drops to one knee and leaning the hammer against his shield he grabs cloth, and  bandage from his kit he wipes the wound clean with a trained move, quickly closes the wound and wraps the bandage over it, sealing it with some sap from his kit. Then slaps Lucians face lightly causing the wizard to awake


Oriana adjusted her stance, and her shield on her arm and then sent healing waters through the gate to wash over Arielle who felt some of her wounds heal. Finally she encrusted her fist with ice and smashed it into the head of the Kobold Warrior looking up at her crushing his skull.

The Kobold who had stabbed at Arielle dodged the worst of the bolt, however Their leader did not even realize the bolt was coming as it travelled beneath Arielles feet to shoot up his causing him to jump in 'shock' Then the little Leshy looked up at Oriana telling her to raise his shield, and he did so with a smile.

Outside The Kobold ran right into Toryn, who grinned at the fear in in its eyes and stepping forward drove the sword through its chest. Still holding his bow in one hand, he ran into the Monastery side door again and down the hall stopping outside the room, blocking the door looking into the crowded room trying to decide what to do....sword and bow in hand.

Dunndero dreamed of slaughtering Kobolds

Lucians eyes snapped open and he lay on the ground looking at the battle. and sent a barrage of spheres of force smashing into the Leader whod stabbed him. The Kobold started to panic...

Satoru sustained his magical glass shield and nodded to Arielle who looked at her hand and it  turned amber and brown and she slashed out at Gurtlekep the claw raking across his scales leaving bloody furrows.(Its not a crit. a Crit is either a nat 20 or 10 above his AC which is 20 so it would have to be a 30. so no persistent bleed damage)

Seeing he was trapped in here, Gurtlekep fights with a ferocity. First he struck at Arielle who had just injured him fiercely. She grabbed his blade with her amber colored hand, blocking the attack. and pushed his arm back at him. He then dodged between Oriana and Arielle, and then quickly moved to in front of Toryn and stabbed at the gnome who blocked his strike with his blade. Gurtlekep was trapped.

Looking around and seeing no threats, Harley exhaled an exhausted breath and let the rage drift off her. Inhaling a deep breath, she stepped toward Toryn. From the corner of her eye she seen the half orc laying and quickly to his aid.
