Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope
Lucian's words brought an even wider smile than the faint grin she'd given her gnomish friend. Burn stone? she said, then winked to show she was teasing, as for starving us out, I still have plenty of rations and while the meat might be a little gamey, these wolves are good for more then just their pelts.

Gesturing over to the dead Greypelt, he tried eating you Two Shits, now you can return the favor. Oh, do you have any potatoes and seasonings?

Toryn nodded to Harley. Poetic! And don't you worry Giggles, there's always time to talk later. The gnome of course had various seasonings in his pack, which he shared with Harley, before turning his attention to securing the courtyard for the night.

I believe a quick survey of our perimeter is in order then, yes?

(OOC: Toryn will Hide Presence and do a quick inner perimeter sweep, starting with the north hallway)

Hearing Lucian and then the group agreeing to explore at least part of the ruins to find a defensible place to spend the night the young dwarf , smacks the head of his war hammer into the palm of his right hand. That's what I'm talking about Capin lets take it to em. As he steps up beside Lucian he lowers his voice. Don't be a wooryin to much Capin, I still have some healin left and a couple other tricks up my sleeve as well.

Then turning to Harly, I agree with ya girl the tower looks solid enough to defend. Then looking at the rest So lets get to it. Turning to Toryn, Okay shorty can you give the doorway a quick once over. Then looking at the two fighters, Harly if you and Dundero, can back up the little guy I'll be right behind you just incase, there's sompin inside that wants to eat us.

Lucian gave Harley a side-eyed smirk and shook his head. "You're smart enough to know what I meant."  He smiled though, to show her he knew she was just giving him shit.  Then moved up next to Larz to help back up the scout and the fighters just in case.

(Action - Drain Bonded Item to restore 1 use of Force Barrage)

Wrapping up all the wolf parts, Harley stashed the large bundle near the door to the tower and fell in behind her gnomish friend, Don't be afraid to squeak and dart behind me if something jumps out at you Two Shits, I'm still itching the smash the holy hells out of something. The fire that appeared in her eyes when she'd pulled herself out from beneath the dead wolf early brimming to the surface once again.

Lucian moves over nearer the tower and examines it while Harley positions herself near the front door to it next to Larz.

Satori and Arielle stand in the middle of the courtyard looking around.

Oriana takes up a position by the main entrance to the Monastery building backed up by Breezy, looking through the front door thats open.

Meanwhile Toryn enters the side hallway backed up by Dunndero.

From the vantage point they have Lucian cannot tell what the roof of the tower is like, but the stonework does appear to be intact and solid and the door doesnt look in a state of disrepair.

Oriana and Breezy looking in the doorway can see what looks like a foyer with doors off to either side and a hall beyond that going north south. The hall is only 5 feet wide...The foyer has mounds of dead leaves that have obviously blown in through the open doors throughout the years. beyond the hall doors are open allowing entry to what appears to be a chapel with darkwood pews off to either side an an altar that is a ceremonial anvil, that is defaced and eroded.

Toryn enters the hall to his right at the open end of the hall where the building has collapsed stands a ruined statue. It looks to have been smashed long ago., the statue is barely recognizable as a dwarven monk. Its stone hammer sits on the ground next to the shattered remains of its head. To his left the hall goes down about 25 feet lit from light from the outside and continues further in shadow.  A door is shut  15 feet down on the north wall, further down doors are shut in the shadows 30 and 35 feet down. Then the hall turns south at the 45 foot point, probably the same hall Oriana and Breezy can see. Harley saunters over to back Toryn up chatting amiably with him as he continue to look around. Across the way a door is open leading back outside to the ruins of another tower thats heaped in rubble amd in the failing light, many bats are flying about.

[ooc: for some reason theres a blockage for light. id have to redo the entire lighting of the map to correct it. just know it and Ill describe. If it would matter Id do it..but I dont think it will. Just read my description.]

Knowing the big half orc won't let anything sneak up behind them, She sticks to Toryn, her talking having died away as she keeps her eyes peeled for any signs of trouble as well as for any defensible positions capable of sustaining the large band of adventurers.

Toryn ignored his first impulse to start rooting around the dwarven statue and continued his perimeter sweep, armed with one shortsword in hand. He quietly moved to the closest door, listening for any potential noises behind it, then gently worked the knob to see if it would open. The shadows didn't bother him much thanks to his low-light vision.

(OOC: performing the Search action. The goal is to move from door to door, checking what's behind each one. If it's locked he'll move on for now. If it's completely dark he'll whip out the torch.)

Satoru and Arielle move to the Northeast and take a look in that direction to see if there’s anything worth looking at.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
