Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope
Harley, the rage having left her as the last of the wolves escaped into the woods, had dropped her war maul and was staring dumb-founded at her normal tanned, and bloodied, hands when Larz approached and spoke. She didn't even hear his words or feel when he pushed her onto her ass. But the healing magics that washed over was like the fire of life and she welcomed it saying, Thank you sir Dwarf and thank your mighty patron as well.

Oriana plops down on the ground next to Harley, her heart racing after being so close to death yet again.

Larz attention split between Dundero and Harley he missed a scratch or two on the now noticably less pale ally, so Oriana directed some more of her healing waters towards her before shutting off her gate, the motes of elemental energy surrounding her vanishing.

"Did that lizard guy run off? Is he going to be back with friends?" she asks no one in particular, clearly in no rush to go after him herself.

Glancing to her side at Oriana, she smiled beneath the blood and grease, even as she pulled the dagger from the sheath at her hip, Thank you too much my friend, then her gaze moving to the bodies of the dead wolves, her lips curled into a wicked grin, I'm cold, their pelts, properly tanned will work nicely. Pulling herself to her feet, she set about skinning the mongrels.

Toryn had collapsed on the ground in a wheezing heap at this point, all the adrenaline finally leaving his body. He barely registered the little leshy tending to his wounds, muttering dreamily about adventure and potatoes the entire time. Once Breeze was finished Toryn finally started waking back to reality.

Thank you kindly Mister Bush. Exclaimed Toryn happily as he shook the leshy's hand with vigorous enthusiasm. He got to his feet and put his hands on his hips as he stared at Greypelt's corpse with a frown. Well, that was quite more adventure than I was prepared to experience today, to tell you the truth. But! All's well that ends with all of one's limbs intact and organ's inside where they belong, I always say!

After looking around and seeing everyone still in one piece, Toryn wandered over to where Lucian was and started nosing through the backpack as well. Hey Lucy? Would you kindly hose me down with that clean-up magic of yours when you get the chance? I suspect the fine aroma of viscera and vomit will not do anyone's olfactory senses any favors.

Lucian put his hands on his knees and exhaled in relief.  He had been in some tight battles before, but that was definitely the most intense one he had experienced.  They had been ambushed and cornered, but the unit had pulled it off with no deaths.  Gods one of them literally got swallowed and had to cut his way out. Tough little shit.  He heard Larz talk about securing a spot to rest and nodded. He wasn't sure they should make camp in this place though, especially since that Kobold Scout retreated. As if to echo his thoughts Orianna mentioned the kobold as well. He picked up the bag Breezy left for him and shouldered.  Once they were settled in, he would give it's contents a full inspection.

The Wizard nodded to Oriana, "Indeed. If the Kobold didn't run for reinforcements I'd be surprised. Kobolds are kind of like goblins in that when you see one, you should expect twenty. At the very least he knows where we are and has a better estimate of our overall strength now."

He gave Larz a pat on the shoulder, but spoke loud enough for everyone to hear."Considering the Kobold knows where we are, I think we should find another spot for the night.  One a bit away from the ruins.  I feel eering on the side of caution might be best. Besides, We have maybe a little less than an hour left till sun down, so that should give us enough time."

Lucian gave Harley a curious glance but decided the camp should be settled before questions.

With that, Lucian began using Prestidigitation to clean the muck, blood and gore off of everyone.  He smiled at Toryn, "Well - Not every day someone can say they were swallowed by a Warg, cut their way out and proceeded to kill the nasty thing." The wizard laughed,  "I know that's a story I'll be telling for a while."

Looking at the setting sun, the group can see they have about a half an hour before nightfall.

((ooc-is the decision to leave the ruins and make camp? or to search things in the ruins))

[OoC: I tried posting earlier but my post seems to have disappeared into the eather of the internet]
Upon hearing Larz's addiction to sit, Dunndero breaths giant relieved breath and does not as much sit, as he seems to collapse onto his rump with a load thump, exclaiming, "By all the gods we survived! That was a close one, and ifn it weren't fer ye good dwarf, it certainly ended up as one of those muts chew toys! I ain't had much use fer religion, but fer yer healing arts and that miraculous magic of Trudd, I think we'd be done fer! Perhaps you cud teach me about this Trudd, ifn ye think he'd except me as a follower? I'd be honored ta learn! But the others are right we be needin to find a safe place to be camping before that little green bastard be coming back wit friends!"

"Let's find someplace else then before night falls. I've perhaps not lived off the land as much our leafy friend, but I've spent many a night under the stars. Lets see what we can find before this place is crawling with lizards."

Getting up off the ground as the tending to the last of the group was happening, Oriana summoned her healing balm to tide herself over as she headed out of the ruins.

Larz isn't sure if he agrees with going back into the woods to camp, but he definitely agrees with the fact that everyone needs to rest before they attempt to explore the ruins, So he carefully packs his healers tools in his belt pouch and shoulders his pack. Ya'll heard the Capin get off your duff's and lets move out we be burnin day light. With that said he turns and heads out through the broken doors they had just entered,

As the dwarf slung his pack and headed for the gate, Harley breathed an exasperated sigh and wiped the blood from the wolf she'd been skinning on the pelt and rose to her feet. Off handed she muttered, We could just enter the building and set up defenses, walking to her where her gear was stowed, she grabbed up her pack and emulating the dwarf headed for the gate.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
