"Whatever you choose to do, make it quick, before they spot us. I'm going to move in closer again to be ready to try and get behind them to block their escape, or at least slow them down if something goes wrong," Jonath says to the group before moving off into the brush once again, relying on his natural aptitude and practiced skill to keep him out of sight and hearing of the sentries.

Sneaking back towards them, trying to head off to one side of the cave entrance and get as close as possible to be ready for whatever attack the rest of the group attempts.
Hide:[1d20+13] = 11+13 = 24, Move Silently:[1d20+12] = 12+12 = 24

[OoC: Ok, this is a quick map.  Note that each square is 10' and the red line is the cave opening.  The green squares are the Kobolds.  I messed up on the numbers a little.  They should have went up to the top of the map but I will fix that on the next map.  Any questions, feel free to ask.]

Betimi readies her crossbow and moves to the side pof the path slowly so as not to be spotted [Hide [1d20+7] = 8+7 = 15] and whispers to Jonath.
"Do you want to try and move a little closer to whatever sentry that is? I will cover you."

[OoC if you recall from post #332 above, Betimi had also snuck forward initially. Has the rest of the party moved up to her?]

Betimi passes Tonreal the crossbow and draws a crystal into her free hand and attempts to move a little closer [to C8] carefully and quietly.

[Hide [1d20+7] = 16+7 = 23 & Move Silently [1d20+3] = 5+3 = 8]

[Mardak Trannyth]

Mardak, hush you fool, or I will shoot you myself!"

He shrugs then chuckles slightly, then folds his arms across his chest.  His weapon and shield will have to wait to be drawn.

Selina watches Betimi pass Tomeal her x-bow and nods, smiling at the woman's pragmatism. Mentally, she prepares herself for battle..

[Nacesh]

"If I could get close I could scorch them both to crisps," the spearman ponders under his breath. "As it stands now I best cover you with a lucky shot," he adds, indicating his loaded light crossbow.

[[OOC -- he'll try to sneak up to point blank position and fire if the cover is blown.]]

[OoC: Sorry for not posting for a few days.  As usual, work and life caught up with me.  I was also hoping our sneaky Gnome was going to post since he's likely to be out front of the group.

Please remember, if you are having trouble or can't roll your own skills, please post the skill and it's ranks so I don't have to go searching.  It just speeds things up a bit.

Tomeal gives Betimi a nod of thanks and takes her offered crossbow and points it toward the cave mouth.  Betimi then moves up behind Jonath and steps on a twig that snaps.  Suddenly two Kobolds poke their heads out the cave entrance to try to spot what made the noise.  She quickly ducks behind the Gnome and hopes the shrubbery was dense enough to hide them both from their eyes.  A few moments pass.  They quietly make their strange, 'yarping' noises to one another and then slip back into the cave, out of view.  Betimi and Jonath believe they didn't see either of you.

Selina stealthily moves toward the cave to [B8] place herself between the hill and Betimi.  She readies whatever spell or attack she plans to make. 

Mardak stands way back with his arms crossed.

Nacesh also moves toward the cave opening to get a better shot.  Ne moves around Jonath to [D6] so he can get a clear shot around the shrubbery where he spots the two Kobolds.  They suddenly look over in Nacesh's direction. "YARP!" [Nacesh Translates one Kobold saying to the other: "You GO!"  Likely meaning, "You go, sound the alarm!"]

[Roll initiatives!!!]
