[IC] New Crobuzon & the World Beyond
Ningalu first casts mirror image, then flies up and over the creature high enough to be out of reach, coming down in the square behind Betimi so his brother can touch her. (I-5)

Torque check *level+pro from chaos+benign area) [1d20++11]=6++11=17

Selina peers at her blade, daring it to question her judgment as she grasps her symbol in one hand and whispers a few prayerful words.  Taking a step back, her body glows with moonlight that becomes brighter by the moment, encompassing a circle roughly 60 feet wide.  All within it who are touched feel the respite of the care of the Priestess of the Moon.

Channel open: [3d6]=14 14 healing to everyone in the burst that isn't undead.
Move Action: 5' step directly to the south.

Quote:Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric’s level + the cleric’s Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channel energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect.[/i]

When Kubo moves, Tegab moves over to Tomeal and waits behind him for Selina to order him to do something.

Selina calls upon Selune to heal her friends.  Sparkles of moonlit flows from her holy symbol, filling a 30' dome around her, mending some of the party's wounds!

Ning casts a mirror image [2 images + himself] then flies behind Betimi.

Nang reaches out and touches Betimi using his Healing touch which heals her [for 9 damage]

Elphaba is invisible but you can hear her having an argument with her Vestige.  The two balls of light fire bolts of energy at the creature...

Ball of light 1:
Touch attack 1: [1d20+2]=3+2=5, Damage: [1d6]=4; Miss!!
Touch attack 2: [1d20+2]=3+2=5, Damage: [1d6]=1; Miss!!

Ball of light 2:
 Touch attack 1: [1d20+2]=19+2=21, Damage: [1d6]=6; HIT!!
Should be Touch Attack 2: Touch attack 1: [1d20+2]=20+2=22, Damage: [1d6]=4; HIT!!
Possible critical: Touch attack 2: [1d20+2]=10+2=12, Damage: [1d6]=6; HIT!!

The first ball of light fires twice but both rays miss.  The second ball of light is much more effective.  The first ray burns a hole in the beast's side and the second attack blasts it in the side of its head! [6 damage + 10 damage]

The arguing suddenly stops and Elphaba yells, "RUN!!  The portal will explode soon!!" [Next round actually!]

ROUND 5!!

[It's now Betimi, Tomeal, Simon, Crozar, and Tegab's turns!!]

[Please keep an eye on your Notes in the chart.  For example, Ning's Spitfire returned last round.]

Betimi continues to use Total Defense, and retreats back to J7, hoping the creature misses it's AoO

[[Selina actually took a 5' step directly south as part of her last action.  So she should be at I4.]]

"Betimi, Kubo, hold!  Do not move yet.  Please!"

[[Selina asks them to delay until after her.]]

Sorry.  I will fix that as soon as I know where Ning is moving!

Ning said he was moving to I-5 so Nang can touch Betimi.  But I-5 is too far away!   So Ning, since Selina is moving to [I-4] where is Ning moving?  Ning can move to [I-4] but 5' up but otherwise you have to pick another square.  For now, I'm going to guess [I-3] and 10' off the ground.

[[Map has been updated.  I made an additional change of moving the Doggo because Kubo moved so there's no reason why it would just sit by itself waiting when it can sit with Tomeal, Simon and Crozar.]]

I-3 works only if Nang could reach Betimi, which was thge whole point of the move..  Remember with perfect maneuver he can move vertically 5' at the same time as moving laterally, that is why I specified up and over.

Betimi will delay her retreat until after Selina.

"You better have good reason, I will not survive another lightning blast."

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
