[IC] Gemeris Station [Everyone]
[OoC: You pilots should probably look into the Starship Tactics feat.  It gives you maneuvers you can use with ships kind of like how Jedi use powers.]

[2 rounds]

Over the internal coms Jendu says to Ubi and Dez, "Ready yourselves to take evasive maneuvers (if that's possible to go full defense in space combat) if they start firing."

Jendu decides to try a different approach hoping to make them hesitate before attacking.  "You give me no choice."  Jendu takes a more authoritative tone,  "We are on a secret mission for the imperial senate.  If you fire upon this vessel and jeopardize that mission you will have to deal with the consequences from my superiors.  And let's just say, they aren't known for being understanding."

[[Er...There was no Senate during the Empire. Not really. It was a Senate in name only and completely ineffective at anything. Conversely, there was no Empire in the Senate.]]

~"Transmit your sector security passcode."~

You know tghis means your bluff has worked, because they asked for a passcode rather than shooting, but it also means that you have only bought yourself a few more seconds, because when you don't produce a passcode they will likely start shooting.

[1 round]

[OoC I will need to know Zerro's Use Computer modifier so I can do the astrogation roll]

In the movie they dissolve the Senate during the scene where Admiral Motti says, "Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the Rebel's hidden fort…" ―Motti, before being Force choked by Darth Vader

The Imperial Senate held legislative powers but it was up to Palpatine to pass those laws - which he usually didn't. However, Senators did still enjoy certain privilege's like diplomatic immunity, at least until Liea got caught. Then soon after they dissolved the senate.

Computers 12 + 2 for the scomp = +14

[[That's why I said that there wasn't really a Senate during the Empire. They had previously ceded all of their power to the High Chancellor, who then declared himself Fuhrer. I mean Emperor.]]

"No problem," Jendu replies.  "Expect to receive the sector security code any moment..."

[Do I need a deception check?  We only have 1 round before we know if Zero figured out the Astrogation.  It would take at least 1 round to transmit the codes.  But in case I do...]

Deception: [1d20+16]=1+16=17  Rolleyes If I needed the roll and if that number fails (even though a 17 is still pretty high), Jendu will use a Force point to bump it up.

Shunna will be readying to fire at the other ship if they try to fire on us.

To everyone, Shunna says, "Zero is almost done.  Everyone ready yourselves to shoot if they try to fire on us."

[[This is why Korstyn asked the astromech and not Zero. Zero's got enough problems to deal with and the astromech, much like her, is just waiting around.]]

"Shoot at what?  I'm in a snubfighter sitting in the cargo hold.  You want to fight them, let me scramble.  Otherwise, I'm useless."

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
