"I saw nothing." Mardak says as he readjusts his effects. "Jonath, let's get moving...Unless you already are moving!"

Selina's eyes go as wide as saucers as a deep red tints her cheeks at his admission.
"Jussst what did you not sssee?" For once, she is not being cognizant enough to notice her speech impediment acting once again.

He smirks then looks to her. And he steps close to Selina, not even a foot away gazing into her eyes. "We all need to be stealth-like. Killin' these bugs be easy as pie." Mardak tilts his head and his hat "I got my eye on you."
Then turns away catching up with Betimi and the rest.

Betimi allows Jonath and Tomreal to take the lead. She straps her spear to her back since Tomreal did not seem to wish to use it, and readies her crossbow as she follows them.

Selina narrows her eyes at the man. The nerve... How dare... Just who does...

[OoC: I have a house rule that allows a player who has the trapfinding ability (which you have) to passively look for traps. They get a penalty to their spot check but at least they get a chance. There are modifiers to the roll depending on what bonus your trapfinding gives you and what type of trap. If you have 5 ranks in survival then you get +2 for snares and pits; a dwarf gets a bonus for stone traps; any feats for finding traps will be added to the roll, and so on.]
With Jonath in the lead, all of you begin moving carefully through the hillside. The temperature is a little cooler than normal but at least the sky is clear with no signs of rain. For the most part these hills are unremarkable except they are rocky and tend to incline more than decline. A few times your mules needed to navigate some difficult terrain and they had to be coaxed to move further. About an hour into your trek Jonath holds up a hand for everyone to stop. He squats low and carefully moves some weeds from the path you were taking and then points out a trip wire. Looking more closely he discerns the wire will release some boulders that was meant to squish trespassers and most likely alert the Kobolds to your approach. [OoC: So what do you want to do? Disable the trap which you suspect would be difficult but not impossible. You could try to find another way around. Or some other option.]

Mardak shrugs to the correction that was made. He really does not care. Both can fly and are annoying as the nine hells. "What ya find Jonath." He whsipers.

I have no doubt that you have no problem carrying this load and you are likely too proud to ask but I would be happy to carry some of your equipment for you. For as you can see the Kobolds have somewhat lightened my load so therefore I have some extra room on my back to for your heavier goods." Though he had not wished to step upon any toes, Tomeal had given the man responsible for Betimi being encumbered long enough to volunteer his back for her load. The loss of her mule had slowed her down and if they were chased she would be in danger of being captured or worse. Tomeal smiles and holds out his hand for Betimi to give him the 50' of rope and whatever else is needed for her to become unencumbered. |
