The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One)

Athos finds 6 platinum pieces scattered around a corner near the rats nest.  Apparently they are fond of shiny things.  

After a few more moments of searching, the group finds that the there are no more rats hiding in this cavern, but there is a large pathway leading further down into the ravine almost opposite of the cave where they came in.  

Athos and Arius can both hear squeaks and commotion from further down the discovered pathway.

[Kriv Turnuroth]

The dragonborn continued to be nervous, and finally says in a quiet voice. "Do we go back or is there more here to continue on for?"

[Mivia Odiania]

Mivia will suggest looking inside the rats.  They might have eaten something.  She'll also look down the pathway with her darkvision to see if she can spot anything within 60'.

Perception: [1d20+3]=14+3=17

[Darkvision. Can see in dim light within 60 feet as if you were in bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.]

[Arius Dezlentyr]

Arius looks at Kriv, then nods further down the ravine.

He holds his lantern high.

"Let us move further down this ravine and check what more lies this way, before we go back and down."

Without awaiting a respones, knowing that the others would be at his back, whip in one hand, lantern in the other, he begins to follow the path.

[Nightingale]

Nightingale shrugs to the others with Arius' decision that tells them this is a good a plan as any and then follows their daring leader.

[Kriv Turnuroth]

Kriv nods and follows behind the others occasionally glancing back to keep an eye on anything that might try to surprise them from behind.

[Mivia Odiania]

Mivia follows along in the middle of the pack.

When Miviia mentioned searching the rats themselves, Arius points out that Athos had already done that.

Athos obviously followed, but he put himself behind the front liners but in front of the two ranged attackers. Thus keeping Mivia and Kriv behind him.

The party finds a rocky path the ticks further down toward the cavern floor noises of rats and possibly other unsavory things echo from below. 

(DM - Roll Perception to spot anything strange as you all descend further into the cavern system.)
