[IC] Into Barovia
#51
The almost feral looking elf, with a long, shaggy mane of auburn hair and piercing green eyes already has her strangly constructed bow nocked and draw string pulled back, ready to shoot the stranger somewhere possibly vital, she wasn't sure yet.

Rhoderic will swing down off his horse, take the rains, and step forward, with his longsword remaining at his left hip, and his bow over his shoulder, and walks forward towards Sumayl stopping two steps short and holds out his right hand in greetings, "Well Met! I am Rhoderic!" He appears as a slender tall bearded young man of half-elven decent, with medium length dark brown hair, usually dressed in dark shades of brown, and grey. He carries a short bow and a scabarded longsword ar his hip. Always seemingly alert for trouble, his blue eyes constantly sweep his surroundings.

Holding both lance and shield Sumayl does not have a free hand, so instead he rounds his horse so his right side is facing the newcomer rather than his left.

He butts his lance in the ground right by Rhodric's outstretched hand.  As soon as Rhodric takes the lance he gives a quick twist of his reins, and his horse actually crouches  down, kneeling on one knee in the road.  Sumayyl easily swings his leg over and stands in front of Rhodric in his heavily ornamented full plate armour.  Hr takes the lance in his shield hand now, and holds out his right hand.

"I am Sumayl al-Akhir ibn Yafir,  sword of Hajama. May he bring you fear."

Rhoderic momentarily blinks at Sumayl responce, and responds, "Pleased to meet you, and you mam!", as he bow in Alynorae's direction. "did you lose 2 companions?", inquires Rhoderic " I was warned that theseroadsare extremely dangerous to travel at night".

"They appear dangerous any time of day. Did you say night? We left first thing in the morning, surely it cannot be night already? Despite these thick clouds. We have indeed lost two companions, they ran away in fear from wargs. We could not find them."

"You are a tracker? You have already passed it. Did you not see the area in the road that was all torn up with blood spatter?  Some of the horses were wounded."

"I'm Alynorae Eilnathna," the elf replies to the newcomer.  "Our companions ran off.  I assume it wasn't an act of sacrifice.  They were scared and were hoping to escape, leaving us dealing with 8 wargs.  Their plan failed and the wargs chose to chase after them.  Even if they are still alive, I personally do not want that kind of companion watching my back.  Would you?"

To the Cavalier Aly replies, "He was traveling much too quickly to follow tracks effectively.  Even our best Sylvan Elf trackers would have trouble following tracks at a full gallop."

"I was trying to keep my eyes open for your trail sign, but did not see any including your own, it is like the fog washed everything away!"

"I consider myself a skilled tracker, as I have often worked as a hunter of men, criminals in fact, as I am a bounty hunter"

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
