The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One)
---Everyone---

Athos narrows down the inn quite quickly. Named the Ol'Boar Inn, he heads in to secure rooms and speak to the Innkeeper. A human named Garon.

Meanwhile, Arius is directed to the Village Hall, where the mayor, a Nobleman named Vurnor Leng, could be found most days.

(DM - Nightingale, Kriv, and Leloth, I have no idea what you three are doing other than standing in the middle of the road. Athos is heading to the inn, and Arius is checking out the Village Hall.  You could go with either of them, or try something different.  Just keep in mind you have all been traveling for weeks and are quite road weary.)

Leloth snaps out of her road daze and seeing Athos walking with purpose, follows him. Hoping that Athos’ stomach has priority over everything else.
All while walking she thought about what had happened over the weeks of travel. The “Dragonborn”, she didn’t know they could even exist! She thought he was simply cursed, was off putting at first but she has grown accustomed to his presence. The Half-elf and the Human carry themselves with pride suggesting noble birth or in a high skilled line of work. And the Elf was simply relaxed at almost all points in time. Leloth did not know what to make of him, other than him also enjoying the simple things in life.

Kriv was tired, but he yawned and decided to follow along after Arius. After all finding out about why they were here and getting that whole mess sorted would mean he could rest sooner than letter. He had enjoyed this trip a bit, the others were interesting and different traveling companions to be sure.

Athos walked into the Inn and up to who he hoped was the Innkeeper.  Usually a rather large or rather skinny human behind the bar, though directions didn't come with a description, they did come with a name. It was late afternoon so he nodded to whoever he found behind the bar, "Good afternoon." He said with a polite smile, "Are you Garon, the Innkeeper?"

Arius looks at Kriv, just as weary and road-worn as he, but eager to find out what was going on.

"Thank you for joining me.. we shall meet with the mayor, find out as much detail as we can, then report to the others.  It is well you are with me, my hope is that the mayor will respond well to those of noble bearing. It does not get much more noble than a gold dragonborn."

Nightingale quietly tags along with Arius and Kriv, they perhaps didn't even notice her until she spoke up.

"I will accompany you to see the Mayor. I want to get a read of the man for myself." The half-elf's tone wasn't entirely threatening, but it was slightly disturbing.

"You will be most welcome. A shrewd judge of character?"

"I like to think so." she replies coolly.

Her body language as she approaches the mayor's house is not unlike a large cat, stalking its prey, calm and collected but you can tell its ready to strike at any sign of weakness.

Arius' demeanor is a stark contrast to Nightingale's, his walk is less stalk, and more relaxed swagger. He moves with a graceful ease, but is obviously a little concerned with his road-weary appearance, straightening his hat and coat, and checking his reflection in available windows as he passes.  He is not nervous at all, bu appearance is obviously important to him.

Once he is satisfied that he 'doesn't look like a dusty beggar' (his words) his swagger simply exudes confidence and cheer.  He has a broad smile and a nod for everyone they pass, young and old.

---Mourn and Lovise---

Mourn and Lovise walk into Oakhurst having both caught wind of call for adventurers from a local merchant lord named Kerowyn Hucrele. She's given put the word out in Neverwinter that she wanted her family members recovered and was willing to pay good coin to see them returned. So it sounded like a good a reason as any to head here to Oakhurst and see what was what.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
