Jack looks up and sees the Professor being cuddled by an ape...'This just can't get any worse'  Suddenly, he pretends to freeze as he thinks it to be cool to be frozen.  While being pretend-frozen, Jack tries to answer Mr X



"Well...I tried to call Lisa, I saw a jelly trying to eat Malcolm, so I tried to stop it AANNND almost got my arms burnt off.  This ninja puddle over there just seems to want to eat people.  Like I said before, that thing was not  on the thanksgiving dessert list!"

Johnny had only seen the blob through the camera in the hallway after the door was opened by Donya.  So he couldn't offer any more information on the creature.  So he turns his attention to Roslyn and gently takes her face into the palms of his hands to get a better look at her physical changes.  "Babe, ummm, do you feel alright," Johnny asks hesitantly.  "You're looking a little pale and emo or goth."  

Looking over at the Professor he calls out, "Professor!  Something is going on with Ros too!"

"Not so fast , perro!"

Samba blasts a searing beam of heat at the shadowy creature attempting to sink through the floor, and misses.

[Malcontent]

"Mr. Xavier, th-thatthing is trying toget away.. it attacked me in my sleep"

As he says this he attempts to grapple the shadowt attacker with unseen fields of force. [Partial success]

[Brittany 'Sylph' Norris]

Brittany wasn't sure how to reply. She was investigating a commotion when she was attacked by her classmates. She honestly didn't know what to make of all that.

[OoC: Well that's odd.  I'm sure I replied to this thread.  Maybe I forgot to click the "Post Reply" button.     I even remember asking Brittany or Graffiti if they could do anything.  Hmmmm...]

While most of the students try to explain to the professor what had happened, Malcolm attempts to grapple to blob but he finds it too slippery to get a firm hold on the creature.  Samba then attempts to blast it but Graffiti's dome of solid light absorbs the attack. 

The Professor listens to everyone and after brief concentration he says/thinks, ~The attacks by your friends were not by their own will.  Their thoughts have somehow changed.  Since their attacks happened at the same time as this creature appeared, it's probable that these two events are related.  Unfortunately I cannot seem to contact the creature's mind.  Do any of you have any ideas or suspicions that may help?~  The Professor's question was addressed to everyone but more to Aurum, whose unique form of telepathy that acted like an antenna, receiving information, rather than other telepaths who have to broadcast or reach out their thoughts to their target.  He could not contact the creature but she might.  But judging by her appearance it seems she is going through something herself.  But that would have to wait until this current situation has been dealt with.  

"Graffiti or Brittany, can either of you create a construct or mini-whirlwind around the creature to contain and keep it from escaping?"

Aurum slaps Johnny's hands away from her face and gives him an ugly snarl. "Get off, tech-boy. I'm busy." Stepping past him to get closer to the forcefield, she responds to Xavier's question that wasn't directed at her. "That's what I'm trying to do, Prof. Contain it. Wouldn't want it to ruin your carpets. Now if you could just keep this guy from distracting me..." As she speaks, the shadow that had crept under the forcefield to cover the floor appears to thicken. Meanwhile, the shadow begins to creep up the sides of the forcefield to form a second dome over the first.

While Brittany and Graffiti delay...

Aurum causes the ambient shadows around the creature to pull together and solidify around the blob.  It pushes against the surface of the solidified shadows trying to escape but it seems unable to break free, for now.

[OOC: Since the blob is contained and it seems that it can't hurt anyone, everyone can act.]
