Entry Cavern
(Well this is awkward. I got absolutely no notifications from here in the past week. Ursk, I'd swear on a stack of Bibles that I answered you, but I'll go back and do it again. )

The group moves North out of the small cavern.

Several different passageways converge on a narrow ledge overlooking a rubble-filled cavern. The far wall is made of a smooth, dark gray metal. A single circular door, tightly closed, sits on the metal wall just above the upper level of the rubble.
"Well that looks both promising, and an obvious trap. Can you use that Mage Hand to probe with the grappling hook through the rubble for snares, tripwires, et cetera?"

Reawyn pulls out a vial from his belt and drinks quickly, then begins to search carefully himself, beginning with the way the party would have to descend from the ledge to the floor of the cavern, then climbing down via rope (held by Ursk?) to search the rubble filled cavern floor in a path to the door.

[OoC vial = Crypt breaker's Draught = +4 to all Perception based checks and darkvision 60 + light sensitivity for 10 minutes = Perception (trapfinding) +9 now]

She nods and follows Reawyn's instruction.
Chrome sighs as he glances over to Cin. Surely, she would berate him, even if not bluntly so, if he failed to attempt to detect for evidence of magic again before the encouragement. Not that he disapproved of it, he was new to this adventuring-style of thinking. His eyes begin to glow as he scans the area for evidence of such a trap. Not really expecting to see any though, from creatures as the Gremlins had been described so far.

Casting Detect Magic
As they search the area, some of the party are alerted by stealthy movement just before being ambushed!

You two  were very-very fast and effective. Nice. - the android girl nods - So we can continue to search the area.
"Yes, very... very efficient." Chrome agreed with Eva, looking at the two fallen gremlins with a bit of awe and concern over whether they have to be taken down so mercilessly. Also, his own uselessness here. Actually, maybe i have it wrong. This entire time, i was thinking I was useless in contributing to our safety... maybe I'm just here to contribute my own knowledge on anything we might find down here? Shaking his head to get the thought out of his head, "Should we worry about the others knowing we're here?"
"They already knew due to their scout from before that vanished at the sight of us. Nothing we can do about it except press on. My draught does not last long, so I need to take advantage of it."

Reawyn again passes the rope to Ursk to anchor him while he climbs down, then begins searching for a safe path through the rubble.
The tunnels here are all interconnected. A search of the area reveals nothing but junk. If the gremlins have anything of value, they have hidden it well. Hopefully whatever the skulk leader is offering for chasing off the gremlins isn't also worthless.
OOC - Do you have a map? I'm a bit lost where we are exactly. I'm a new player, sorry Smile Were we here before?

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
