Kallista lay in the inferno baking, her nerves screaming into her unconscious mind for her to get out, but she could not move. Every metallic thing on her body searing into her flesh.
Larz lay outside of the heated environment on the cool stone floor. But his burnt body could not recover on its own without help.
Breezy went to work Bandaging Dunndero first plastering his burnt body with a vegetable paste cooling the skin and stopping blisters. But not before he almost dropped the paste on the floor and shattered the container. Fortunately he grabbed it at the last moment and breathed a leafy sigh of relief. Dunndero's eyes opened and Breezy was pleased. Then he turned to where Lucian lay, but realized he was too far away to do so quickly, so instead he slathered Oriana's exposed skin with the same paste as she prepared to go back into the cloud, but the dripping wetness from her innate defenses kept the paste from being effective. Then he turned to Larz and applied it to his fragile form. The dwarf coughed and shivered as the cold paste was applied to his burnt form. and his eyes snapped open looking around with desperation.
Toryns heart started beating normally then the heat overcame what was occuring and he continued to cook as the chain seared into his neck. The black necrotic energy pulsing along its length.
Oriana ran back into the searing cloud squinting her eyes and holding her breath so as to lessen the effect of the burn. The water pouring from her gate over her body keeping the damage to a minimum. She reached Kallistas side and could see the cloud was starting to dissipate and new she had to act fast so she released the opening to the sea and the briny water spalshed over Kallista's still form, dousing the fire upon her and keeping her from deaths door. She saw Kallista's eyes flicker open.
Dunndero lay on the ground and slowly sat up blinking. he ached all over. The armor having nearly incinerated him. He looked at Breezy thankfully, then at Lucian and saw the cloud ebbing and started to move into it, but it started to sear his flesh again and he paused looking at the others. He knew hed fall and wouldnt get to help.
Larz stood and felt the same searing pain renew and paused yelling into the cave Kallista has an Elixer of Life on her. In her pack. He heard Oriana Respond saying to Kallista get it out and give it to Toryn.
Lucian lay on the stone floor his breathing shallow and his heart rate dropping and something heroic in him shook off the death that was occuring and he slowly opened his eyes...painfully. aching all over. and he choked out a croak..."Im alive" (coming back from Deaths door uses all hero points. not just 1))
The searing cloud of ash dissipated and only Toryn was in danger of death at this point.
