(Action - Maintained Shield.  Then looked around the room with his detect magic to make sure the threats were gone.  His advanced Detect Magic essential adds Read Aura to his sight on anything magical.  So it shows the exact object and/or creatures with magic.  This is not amp'd so it doesn't give him additional bonuses to saves against said magic.)
