The night before Toryn moves around chatting the Lumberjacks up. Talking to cooks, even the local camp followers. until he pieces together enough to share the follwing information with the party.
Droskars Crucible was once a Dwarven Monastery called Torags Crag, named after Torag the All-Father of the Dwarven pantheon. The monastery depths were rumored to house a great artifact created by the bests smiths of all the Dwarven Kingdoms back over a thousand years ago. The Volcano known as Droskars Crag; so named after the dwarven diety of toil and unending work. erupted and caused great destruction around the area, including destroying and collapsing much of the Dwarven complex below the surface of the Monastery. This was called The Rending. A cult to Droskar came about and renamed the Monastery and and calling it his Crucible where they would hone their body and mind towards becoming perfection in the eyes of Droskar. The cult leader was a charismatic dwarf named Gristogar. Supposedly he was the last dwarf to survive the gradual deaths of the cultists. Creatures then gradually inhabited the depths.
Long after the the lasts dwarves were gone, the place is still haunted by spirits and ghosts of those that toiled in the ruins of the monastery. In more recent times, The Truescale Kobold tribe took over the depths and made it there home, working with many of the inhabitants to secure the location until a Wizard came looking for the artifact. He took command of the Truescales and exiled the King. Recently The wizard abandoned his post and Merlokrep found another relic, A Crown that empowered him and he returned to retake command of his people.
The Dwarf Druingar The Glintaxe's spirit now protects the ruins just as his predecessors have.
