I have another question for all of you.
If a longsword does 8 damage slashing and 6 Fire damage to a CREATURE with hardness 5. Does it take 9 damage or 4 damage? It seems the rules don't say if you combine all damage and then apply hardness or if you apply hardness separately to different damage types. I've also looked online and I can't find a consensus. The only thing for sure is you don't half the energy damage when it's a creature with hardness.
For now, I'm going to just add the damage together and if we later decide it should be done separately I'll just say it was a unique circumstance.
