[OoC: I have a house rule that allows a player who has the trapfinding ability (which you have) to passively look for traps. They get a penalty to their spot check but at least they get a chance. There are modifiers to the roll depending on what bonus your trapfinding gives you and what type of trap. If you have 5 ranks in survival then you get +2 for snares and pits; a dwarf gets a bonus for stone traps; any feats for finding traps will be added to the roll, and so on.]
With Jonath in the lead, all of you begin moving carefully through the hillside. The temperature is a little cooler than normal but at least the sky is clear with no signs of rain. For the most part these hills are unremarkable except they are rocky and tend to incline more than decline. A few times your mules needed to navigate some difficult terrain and they had to be coaxed to move further. About an hour into your trek Jonath holds up a hand for everyone to stop. He squats low and carefully moves some weeds from the path you were taking and then points out a trip wire. Looking more closely he discerns the wire will release some boulders that was meant to squish trespassers and most likely alert the Kobolds to your approach.
[OoC: So what do you want to do? Disable the trap which you suspect would be difficult but not impossible. You could try to find another way around. Or some other option.]
