Ah, see I did not realize that.  I thought you were the only one able to make new threads.  Ok then.

I believe anyone can create new threads but you should post to an already created thread if it's available.  For example, if John wants to go to his room then you'd post >>here<<.  Which is the dorm room he shares with Malcolm.  If you need a new thread then you should ask me so I can create one.  It just keeps everything orderly.
