What he said were only words. Words that among friends could be seen as a joke. She then proceeded to stare him down in an attempt to intimidate him. He took her point and didn't make any more comments. He didn't even threaten that he could contact his contacts to tell them, "hey, this woman is trying to intimidate me. Maybe we shouldn't use her." I thought about it, but then decided that Jendu wouldn't try to destroy her reputation.
I'm not going to pretend that perhaps eluding to her being a escort might have been pushing it. But don't pretend she didn't give it back to him...

She called him a 'boy,' 'poor,' 'powerless,' and then told him to 'learn your place.' Which is quite the comment considering she's a Bounty Hunter and he's a Senator.
But he took it because he knew he was probably a little out of line. So Jendu responded to her formally and explain the reason why he was here, as a messenger. He then politely offered to help the group, which includes her, fix their shuttle.
