INjon points toward the heavy door in the floor, and you think maybe meaning the creature beyond it, then points at the passageway to the 'east' and the doors to it that are blasted half open, and uncloseable. Then he points at his chest and at the group with a wave of his arm and points at the 'south' doors and makes a shoosh sound that you think is meant to be the sound of a door closing.
