[OoC: My UTF is +15 not +13.  It was +13 but then you allowed us to have the full bonus for the Skill Focus Feat. ]

There are good reasons why Deflect makes more sense:

1. Storm Troopers are mooks so Shunna would likely think it would be easier to Deflect them than Kratos
   
2. If Shunna uses Negate Energy to block a Stormtrooper she won't have it available if Kratos attacks which his turn is coming up soon.
   
3. To be able to use Negate Energy a second time this combat she will either have to spend a Full Round Action to use her Focus Talent or spend another Force point and a Swift action.  She can't use a Swift action or a Full Round Action until her turn, which is after Kratos.
   
4. The only reason why she chose to use Negate Energy vs the Guards instead of Deflect was because she trying to pretend to be hurt.  Something she wouldn't really be able to pull off if she deflected a blaster bolt but could do if she pretended to grab her arm with the hand that Negated the energy.
