Jendu isn't catching any sympathetic waves.
Rahallu gets a stun stick waved in his face in reply. He's probably not the first big guy they've encountered.
"Keep it up, wise guy. You're going to get a date with my baton." The guards explain that the cuff is for identification purposes and connects with their accounts to pay for food and sundries.
A guard activates a lock on the far side of the cell block. A couple of seconds later, the door opens into a short hallway where the guard repeats his action. This time the hallway is longer. They take a left at the intersection and enter another short hallway. The second security door opens up into a larger cell block. This one has a large central courtyard with rows of tables and benches. Most of the tables are occupied with inmates eating something faintly resembling food. They are all lead across the courtyard to a closed steel window with a small slot. When they hold their cuff over an electric eye, a tray with something on it pops out of the slot. An empty table nearby is large enough for the group. The other inmates mostly give disinterested looks to the newcomers as they eat their 'meals.' The guards give each a different cell number to bed down in before leaving.
