Dire Ape, even without Celestial tied to it, is awesome.  Like a barbarian  with more strength and a better grapple capability.  Also, Dire Squid are pretty awesome if there are any of those.

And with a Dire Ape I can wear all my equipment.    There doesn't seem to be any Dire Squids in Core.  There are Giant Squids but they're Huge so too big for Toot.  Giant Octopus is Large but both these critters require water.
