[OoC3: Can Toot start casting a full round spell during a surprise round?  Assuming that he cannot...]

OOC - IMHO you can start it and you will finish it in the 1st round.

[OoC: The spell lasts for 10 minutes a level and a cleric has to be 5th level to cast it.  So if it's round 12 then we have at least another 488 rounds or 688 rounds if he's our level.  

We will have to do something with Torin before it wears off or Portho and the Priest will be reenacting a Benny Hill Chase scene.  At least as a Bard he can play the Benny Hill theme song (Yakety Sax).  

OOC - He's in our level or above cos he has a restoration spell prepared.
OOC - Yes it's a serious problem but Torin rolled the second save attempt just it didn't happend yet

If he can cast the summons in the surprise round then he will. 

As for Torin making his second save, we don't know this.  We all will try to restrain him at first, likely with his blessing.  Then when the Circle vanishes, Torin has to convince us he is no longer under control but because that's what a person under the effects of a charm would say, we don't believe him.  Then hijinks and hilarity ensues.  With how fearful of magic that SG is, Torin could end up with a few whacks with the stone club.  Meanwhile Toot would say he was trying to makes sure the ropes are tight but is actually trying to loosen them a little hoping Torin escapes to beat the Gnome up for a few rounds.  Ludgar has his face in his hands thinking we're all doomed!  And yet these are the people fate threw together to save the world from multiple apocalypses!
