Some say Garl Glittergold played a trick upon another Gnome god which caused the race's downfall and change into Jermlaine, while others say they were created by Gnomes as guardians and then abandoned. Whatever the reason was, Jermlaine blamed and hated Gnomes for their poor lot in life.
