[IC] The Dwarven Ruins
The spider is very much alive!

Portho continues his oration, and moves to the square behind Torin so he can see the spider.

He attempts to shoot into the melee to hit the spider, to his surprise landing a solid hit.

[ rolling d20+8+1-4 shortbow attack (19)+8+1-4= 24]
[rolling d4+1+1 shortbow damage (4)+1+1= 6]
The spider recoils from the two solid hits but stabs at the bison once again before retreating. The jab penetrates the tough hide (-3hp) and the bison roars angrily as poison courses through its veins (-5str). As the vermin leaves, disappearing from sight, the bison may give it a goodbye kiss.

Torin's turn, please start with resolving the AOO. Don't forget the lower strength.

Will update roll20 later, the spider retreated to the corner, up to the ceiling if alive after the aoo. A feeble attempt since the bison can reach it there as well...

Bison AOO attack: 20 damage:10

A) The bison follows the spider and attacks him (attack: 24, damage:13)
B) The bison goes forward to the next door.

Torin goes to north and tries to reach the button which opens the last door.

@DM: Feel free to move my tokens in roll20.
The herd mammal gores the vermin and tramples through its very dead body. Torin follows and pushes the button. As the doór opens another large spider lunges forward, towards the bison, jabbing through just enough to hurt (-1hp)

Next up: Portho, Torin.
Continuing to orate on dwarven bravery, Portho moves as far as he can and still be able to acrt this round. At the end of his movement he leans out awkwardly past the corner to shoot at the spider that had been trapped behind the far door.

[rolling d20+8+1-4-4 shortbow attack, firing around the corner, into melee (9)+8+1-4-4= 10]

His shot gues wide. As he took the shot he frowned at the carelessness with which the dwarf charged ahead to open the next door before the first foe was even vanquished.
OOC - the first foe was squished to a greasy pulp by bison stampede before the dwarf charged ahead...

Torin's turn.
The bison gores the vermin (ooc - attack: 20 damage: 9).

Torin goes behind the bison, drops his melee weapon and draws a javelin but he missed the target (ooc - attack: 12).

Portho's turn!
Nope. Spider's turn...
The spider jabs the bison once again, but not hard enough to weaken him (-1hp).

Now Portho's turn.
Portho continues the stirring ovation while he takes a 5' step to the north and then takes careful aim with his bow. As the bison and spider jockey for position Portho waits for his opening, and then lets the arrow fly.

It strikes true, piercing deep into the spider.

[rolling d20+8+1-4 bow attack (20)+8+1-4= 25]
[rolling d20+8+1-4 bow crit confirmation (18)+8+1-4= 23]
[rolling 3d4+6 Shortbow critical damage (1+4+3)+6= 14 damage]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
