[OoC: Urgh! Went to get an oil change and while at the shop I failed to notice a step-down and fell. Banged up my knees and hands, hurt my back and bruised my pride. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Anyways back to posting...]
Betimi fires her crystal. It slices into one Spider and then Leraje guides the crystal to ricochet into the other. Both spiders recoil from the strikes but continue devouring their targets. Betimi suddenly curses and yells, "It's an illusion!" Nacesh immediately attempts save throw at +4 and succeeds. He sees through the illusion and may redo his action! Mardak gets +4 on his save throw and sees through the illusion but continues with his action. While cursing that he was tricked, Mardak knows the group needs more room to maneuver. So Mardak takes a 5' step and attempts to do the same [at G8] to open up the area so he can make room for himself. Unfortunately he fails his first attempt. [Ugh! Failed by 1! ] Jonath gets a +4 on his save and sees through the illusion. Jonath attempts to escape the web [Standard action] and easily does so. [Will wait for Nacesh's action before finishing Jonath's action. Maybe he will post. He can either stay on this side of the bridge or escape to the other side of the bridge. Jonath still has a Move action or a 5' step he can perform.] Gilley sees through the illusion. [Since some people need to redo their actions I will wait to see if Gilley's player posts. Selina hears Betimi say it's an illusion and thinks, "Whatever. the spiders are clearly right there!" [Yuck! Rolled a 1!] [For this round she will need to act like the Spiders are real.] Tomeal also failed to disbelieve the illusion Everyone who succeeds their save to disbelieve suddenly notices that the two small spiders as well as 90% of the creatures hanging from the ceiling are fake! Some are Kobolds but others look human! [OoC: OMG, suddenly everyone except the NPC and Selina who has the highest will save, rolled awesome! The only roll I posted was for Selina because she actually failed. ]

Jonath finishes struggling his way out of the webs then pauses as he realizes the spiders were merely an illusion, along with many of the captives. This was obviously a trick, and his first guess was it was an attempt to get them to cross the very bridge he had been about to charge across. With no other obvious targets available, he instead takes a moment to inspect the bridge for traps or other nasty surprises.
[OOC:Search:[1d20+8] = 7+8 = 15 Sorry for being so quiet - I've been here all along, was just waiting for the results of the actions of the people before me before posting mine.]

Shouldering his bow as he sees through the illusions, Gilley draws a shortsword instead, examining the bridge and carefully trying to cut away the strands of webbing so they can pass through unhindered, if they need to.
Shortsword Attack [1d20+3] = 4+3 = 7 Shortsword Damage [1d6+2] = 3+2 = 5
While Gilley hacks away at the web with little effect [counting damage reduction he does 2pts of damage ], Jonath searches the foot of the bridge for traps but doesn't find anything.
Suddenly there's a cold chittering chuckle from far above you. "Has yous running in circles, I has," you hear it say in a chilling high pitched snicker. "Shows yous back, you did." The illusion melts away to reveal only a few hanging individuals without any spiders. There's a 'Ffftt' noise and suddenly Mardak cries out as a thick strand of sticky web strikes him in the back from far above. Mardak struggles against the web but the strength of the beast is too much, and he's abruptly lifted off his feet and 20' into the air. [OoC: I tried several times to use The unseen servant but for some reason it's not working which is strange since it was working for the attack roll. So I rolled manually for strength checks. Mardak 12, Monster 20.] [FYI: The creature is currently unable to be seen. It's hiding on the other side of the pillar so Selina's light can't illuminate it. Also, from their current positions, Jonath and Betimi can't see it with their 60' darkvision. The strand of webbing that has captured Mardak has disappears into the curtains of webbing hanging from the ceiling. So they may or may not be able to see the creature even if they move closer as it could be too high or is hiding behind webbing. You will just have to move to find out. ] [OoC: Selina's and Tomeal's turns! And Necesh hasn't redone his round since making his save for the illusion] Then back up to the top. Initiatives:

Gods dammit all. Does it truly have to be Mardak that we're forced to save?
Selina is immensely displeased about this situation, knowing that while she does not like the man, she has a duty to at least try to rescue him from what seems to be the monster they were intent on killing in the first place. With a sigh, she stashes her Mace, redraws her crossbow, and slips around (I'm guessing the red dot is Tomeal) looking around to try and find her target. Lisen: [1d20+4] = 18+4 = 22 , Search: [1d20] = 16 , Spot: [1d20+4] = 15+4 = 19 "Tomeal! Around here somewhere. Betimi, Jonath, Nacesh see if you can kill its kin over there." ((Moves to H8 and has a look around, then relays some ideas to the group.)
(OoC: The red dot is Nacesh. Tomeal is the Orange dot. Please see the spoiler for who each color represents. Hopefully I will soon have real avatars on the map instead of dots. Also the Illusion has been dropped. Those two small spiders were part of the illusion. )
