History: Katrina was involved in an industrial accident when stopping by her father's work after school. Something spilled on her, and she ended up in the hospital for months, painfully wrapped in bandages, going through horrific physical changes. When she came out of it, she found herself barely able to look at herself, and her parents didn't have an easy time of it either. She went back to school, but kept herself covered at all times. Even her own brother made fun of her. She felt even worse for the fact that her cousin had gone through a terrible accident a couple years before, but he had been reconstructed and had become a hero. She was just mocked, in the most formative years of a young girl's confidence.

But on a trip to New York, she and her father had stopped at a bank, and a bank robbery occurred. She got separated from her father, and saw a bunch of kids with powers fighting against the robbers. She stepped in to help, and they won the day. And when the kids left, stepping through a portal to unknown places, she raced after them because they were the only ones she felt might understand.

Her parents were mad that she ran away, but accepted her choice, with the help of Xavier and some other kids and teachers. Beast gave her his old personal hologram generator so that she could walk around in public without covering herself.

lol, that was purely unintentional. I've yet to read a Lovecraft book. If he did look like a fish monster he should be given immortality when he grows to adult hood, just to keep it consistent
