The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2)
#51
Marcus strolled up to the ATV with a grin and and two bags worth of snacks.  He had found some good ones, snacks he normally couldn't get outside of Chi-Town, plus some local goodies like a couple of bottles of local rootbeer.

Cord stirred groggily, still 1/2 asleep. He had learned to sleep anywhere and anytime the opportunity arose, and unless shit was hitting the fan, this time was no different.

---Cord---

Cord tries to open his eyes, but everything is dark and he can't move. Panic hits him like a truck. Oh Fuck NOT tHIs AGAIN! began racing through Cords head.

(DM - Roll save vs Insanity)

---Everyone---

The first thing everyone notices is that the Sarge and Lt come back to camp a little less amused than when they left.  Not to say that it's a remarkable change in their usual demeanor, but it was noticeable.

The second thing they noticed was that the Psi Stalkers had parked next to them, it hadn't occurred to everyone that they might be accompanying them on the mission.  Viego didn't notice the Psi-stalkers vehicle as he was focused on the next thing to catch everyone's eye. The dogboys had been about 20 minutes behind them, as they had to stop for bathroom breaks a bit more often, and they had also finally arrived.

As soon as everyone walked up ATV, Biscuit immediately jumped out of his skin and saluted, "YES SIR! WE HEARD YOU SIR!"

Momo stares at Biscuit wided eyes.

Bones pretends to be cleaning his weapon.

Franz rolled his eyes and growled a chuckle.   All of these behaviors seemed suspicious, almost always indicated that the dogboys had been up to something they clearly were not supposed to.

Viego glared at the dog boys knowing something was up, and he frowned concerned. He liked the dog boys, well specifically Biscuit, and Bones the best, in that order but the others he enjoyed as well so he was concerned when they acted strange. "Report Biscuit. What have you been up to?" his tone was deep but not unfriendly.

Marcus laughed, "You know he's up to something, he said yes sir before we even asked him anything"  He walked toward the ATV still grinning, "You four couldn't be more obvious.  What'd you do?"

Yeah, whose leg did you hump this time? Aaron added dryly.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
