Droskar's Crucible
Breezy gathers up the scroll and the Obsidian, and takes the haul over to the gnome to carry. He hands the scroll to the dwarf unsure if anyone else reads the language. Happy with himself he then waits to see what the others want to do.

You don't say, well imagine that. I went over that whole damn room and didn't see shit. Dundero are you sure you ain't part Dwarf, I know I'd be proud to call you Kin. The young Dwarf works on the big fighter as he talks.

While Dunndero is bandaged; Lucian walks over and picks up the gauntlet and searches it for runes, and examines it closely. Seeing the symbol of Droskar upon it as well as a rune of striking (Gauntlet of Striking), he realizes it is a 'Grasp of Droskar'. An obscure Item that once put on transforms the fist painfully into black stone. It cannot be removed. It curls the hand into a fist permanently , unless performing a feat of athletics upon which it grants a bonus to (+1 to Athletics checks). Additionally it enables the user to fire a Ray of Enfeeblement daily (+10 to hit DC 20 for save). A nice item with the only downside being the loss of one hand for mundane things.

Having finished treating Dundero's wounds Larz asks, Hey Toryn could you take a look at the secret door Dundero found over there in the corner, just incase some body decided to protect what ever is inside with a trap.
Quote this message in a reply
Toryn examined the wall once all the loot had been organized. It was unlikely that a door this well-hidden would also be trapped, though of course not impossible. He gave it a once over, then looked around for the mechanism that opened said door.

Dinndero shows Toryn where to locate the brick that opens the secret door .

Seeing the secret door was not trapped they arrayed themselves in front of it. After opening the door they see a 20 feet of hall and a blank wall. Knowing that would make no sense they advance down the hall to the blank wall and search it, finding another secret door with the exact same opening mechanism. It too is untrapped.

Larz takes the lead this time he advances and open the secret door at the end of the short hallway. Opening it up he takes a quick look in the now open door.

Toryn looks the stone face over and determines there are no traps, and steps back as Larz moves forward and shifts the brick indicated by Dunndero. The wall slides to the side exposing a strange looking room. Simple stone benches sit near the walls of this shadowy octagonal room. These benches are positioned near small openings along the west, northwest, and northeast walls. An unusual device that resembles a stone trumpet is attached to the northeast wall near the opening. A faint whispering sound permeates the room. All feel the hair on their neck stand up and they feel an ominous presence in the room, though they cannot make out an enemy.

The hair on Dunndero's neck stands on end and he instinctively swings his Glintaxe to meet the threat, with three quick attacks, the first of which successfuly hit and the last two attacks missing.

Actions:
1. Glintaxe Battleaxe Attack Action: Glintaxe (Battleaxe +1) Attack = [1d20+11]=20+11=31 (Natural 20!), Glintaxe (Battleaxe +1) Damage =[1d8+5]=1+5=6 x2 (Crit) = 12 Damage.
2. 2nd Glintaxe Battleaxe Attack Action: 2nd Glintaxe (Battleaxe +1) Attack =[1d20+6]=10+6=16 (Miss!)
3. 3rd Glintaxe Battleaxe Attack Action: 3rd Glintaxe Battleaxe Attack =[1d20+1]=17+1=18 (Miss!).

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
