Droskar's Crucible
Dunderro now being in posisition goes on the full offensive with the mighty Glintaxe, saying, " Trudd guid my swings and bless this glorious axe in thy name!". Dunderro then let's lose with three vicious swings of the Glintaxe. But his bodies stiffness slows each of his swings enough to allow for the worm to sway and avoid his attacks.

Actions:
1. Glintaxe Attack Action: Glintaxe (Battleaxe +1) Attack = [1d20+11]=2+11=13 (Miss!).
2. 2nd Glintaxe Attack Action: 2nd Glintaxe (Battleaxe +1) Attack =[1d20+6]=10+6=16 (Miss!).
3. 3rd Glintaxe Attack Action: 3rd Battleaxe Attack =[1d20+1]=7+1=8 (Miss!).

With a quick assessment, Kallista realized she couldn't reach the worm like creature, without smashing through her companions and possibly shoving Larz into the molten metal, she grumbled out a curse and begam running around the pit, keeping her shield raised and preparing for any further creatures to appear.

Actions:
1&2 - striding
3 - Raising shield.

Toryn ran past Larz and tried to vault over the worm-like abomination, but one of the Grick's tentacles managed to grab the gnome in mid air and brutally slammed him into a wall with an audible crunch. The gnome fell to the floor, body screaming in pain, but he gritted his teeth and rolled back onto his feet. As the tentacle withdrew, posing to strike again, Toryn managed to slip past the Grick's defenses and cut into its back.

Grick AoO: 1d20+11 30 crit!
Tentacle Damage: 1d8+6 10 x2 = 20 damage to Toryn

Larz is rattled by the swiftness of the creatures tentacles after spelling a round of needles at the creature, his aim was off  and they passed harmlessly over the creatures body. He again raised his dented shield to defend with.

Breezy did the same, but his had no more effect. He raised his smaller shield and looked around for another threat...in case.

Lucian was reminded of the shield by seeing Larz's defense and cast Shield himself then repeated his out of phase bolt of arcane magic and this time it struck injuring the work.

Dunndero went into full combat mode, swinging The Glint Axe three times, the Worm avoided the strikes each time in some macabre rythymic swaying.

Kallista began to circle the Forge of molten metal. She too brought her shield up to defend.

Oriana also tred again to overcome the heat of the furnace by sending chunks of ice at the creature. The heats again melted them before they reached the target.

Toryn ran forward and tried to tumble past the worm, was stopped and then with a heroic effort he got to his feet and rolled to his feet slashing out and with effort penetrated the thick skin.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Next round

The worm injured as it was, tried to move to the wall and escape the hurt, Dunndero brought the axe down onto the worms back as it headed for the wall amnnd laid it open. It climbed the wall leaving a trail of blue green ichor behind it and crawled back into the vent shaft moving away from view.

((Flat check DC 11 to target. Its 15 feet into the tube. The ceiling is 10 feet up. so you can calculate range if you want to try. ))

((Note these creatures have Attacks of Opportunity. I put their combat stats in their stat block. if you are or move through an adjacent square, roll their attack and damage on your character If you crit, it stops your movement and you are grabbed by them. Remember a Crit is a nat 20 or 10 above your ac))

Try as he might Larz can't see into the vent the creature crawled into. turning to Toryn Larz asks. Hey little buddy think you could repair my shield so we can get the hell out of here.

DC Flat Check =[1d20]=8

Dunnder squints up the tube but fails to see the worm. "Damnit! It got away!", Dunndero grumbles as he reaches for a throwing axe.

As the creature slithered upwards to get away from the party Oriana could still just barely see it disappearing into the vent. Cold wasn't working, but that wasn't her only trick. Summoning a small flame into her hand, she flings it up the vent and scores a direct hit before the monster could escape to regroup.

The stoic woman smirks as she gets the last laugh on the thing.

Actions:
Flat check to target 1d20=12 Success.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
