Droskar's Crucible
Dunndero hands the axe over to Larz, and says, "Thank you for giving me the honor of wearing your uncles armor into battle! I will do his memory as much honor as I can!".

Toryn took one of the leather armors, cleaned it up, and stowed it in his backpack. Then he gave the mysterious vials a good sniff like any proper scientist would, and described their scent to Lucian, hoping to assist the wizard with their identification.

(03-13-2024, 12:49 AM)Larz Oathtaker Wrote: Larz comes walking up to the group and hears Kalista talking about his Uncles Armor. I agree with you Kalista, and more then that I know my Uncle, that's where he would want his armor on the front line. If it is alright with all of you I would carry my Uncles  axe. What ever you Decide Lady Kalista, It will not affect me following your commands. Now if you'll excuse me I must report to the captain. With that said the dwarf walks over to where Lucian and Satoru are talking with the freed Prisoners. Larz holds out the three vials he recovered from the Kitchen are. These potions were found in the mess hall Sir.

Satoru briefly glances away from Barlus to thank Larz and accept the potions before handing them to Arielle, who nods as he returns his focus to Barlus’ story.

Arielle’s eyes glow as she makes an attempt to decipher if the potions have any magic in them.

[[Needs 10 minutes of uninterrupted focus, so I figure she should give it a shot first since she’s otherwise unoccupied.  Roll in roll20.]]

Lucian smiled down at Breezy, "Thanks my friend."

When he started to take the vials that Larz was handing him, Saturo stopped what he was doing mid-sentence and snatched them from Larz.  The wizard blinked for a moment unsure of why the man would do that.  Apparently Saturo handed the vials to his 'whatever the thing was that he summoned' and wanted it to try and identify them.

The wizard shrugged and looked back at Larz, "Thank you. There's at least one more prisoner deeper inside. If everyone is healthy enough to continue, we'll head down the next corridor as soon as we're done interviewing these fellows."

Then Lucian proceeds to look over the scroll that Breezy had brought him and anything else that needed to be identified.  Unless those also were going to get snatched out of his hands.

(Action - Identifying any items brought to him.  Quick Identification, takes only 1 min, +6 in Nature, +8 to Occult and Aranca depending on what's needed.)

[[Yup. That was my bad. Quoted the exact text and then proceeded to misread it.]]

Satoru shrugs to Arielle and she then proceeds to hand the vials to Lucian.

Satoru asked Barlus what he meant and he said The Kobold Warrens are below. You gain access by an elevator of sorts through a well. Look if you guys will escort me out of this place with my friend here...and if we can rescue Colbrin...and get us back to Falcons Hollow, I will gift you my Fathers bow. Its magical and only those of great strength can pull it. I have not the strength to ever use it, but I believe that one He points at Dunndero Probably does.

After Arielle and Lucian look over the potions with Toryns timely assistance they find them to be all from an Alchemist.  The first allowed an increase to the visual acuity to discover traps and hidden doors. The second allowed a greater ability to keep yourself calm in the face of adversity, increasing your awareness and ability to remember important things at the cost of some of your natural aggression for 10 minutes. The third heightens a persons ability to be persuasive at the cost of accessing some of their knowledge.

Then Lucian looked over the scroll and found it to be scroll that when read would remove a curse from an individual.

Lucian gave Barlus a soft pat on the shoulder and reassures him, "Don't worry. If Colbrin is alive, we'll get him out of here." He gestured toward the exit, speaking directly to Barlus and Edgrin, "I would suggest you two make your way to our camp above.  Let the sun touch your faces for a while.  If we don't return by dawn tomorrow, you should both start making your way to the lumber camp as quickly as possible.  Feel free to use our camp supplies. I'm sure you could both use a meal or two. With luck, we'll join you as soon as we have your friend."

With that said, the wizard tucks the remove curse scroll into his scroll case for safe keeping.  Then he hands the Elixir of Eagle Eye to Toryn, "This will boost your perception, letting you find hidden things easier.  Its lasts for about an hour."
He holds up the Serene Mutagen so everyone could see it and hear him, "This will give whoever uses it, very clear focus on multiple things, resisting fear, spotting trouble, keeping your head clear so you can remember details, but it slows your innate aggression.  So you will find your efficiency in combat slightly diminished. Powerful, but we should use it with care."
Lucian also holds up the Silvertongue Mutagen for everyone, "Whoever uses this, must be careful with this one.  While in improves your ability to interact with people, making you more convince and sociable, it drastically dulls your wits, making it hard to recall facts and information."
He hands the Elixirs of Silvertongue and Serenity to whoever wants them.

After the items were handed out, the Wizard turned to rest of the party and looked them all over trying to assess their condition, "Everyone ready to continue?"

Satoru nods in agreement to Lucian’s conciliation of the captives.  “We’ll get you all back to town safely.  We need to return there eventually anyway.”

When Lucian identifies the vials, he perks up at the last two.  “I was wondering if I might hold onto those last two, friend."

Lucian nods to Saturo and hands him the two vials. "Just keep their side effects in mind. You're usually supporting your summon, so the serenity one should be okay."
He holds up the Silvertongue potion,  "This one though." The caution in his voice very clear. "Just remember, if your in a social situation where you also need your wits, this one could turn into a problem." He smiles and shakes his head as he hands it to Saturo, "Personally, anything that dulls my wits for too long gives me pause, still it could be useful."

Larz stood stoically just listening to Lucian and the others talking, when they start talking about the Kobold warrens down below and how their friend Colbrin is being held for use as a sacrifice, he finally speaks. First he responds to Lucian, Capin, if their friend is going to be sacrificed then time is of the essence. Turning to Kalista fist, Lefttenant Kalista could you step over here please. When Kalista approaches the dwarf's focus turns to the rescued prisoners. We need to know everything you can tell us about this sacrifice no matter how small the detail, it could mean the difference between your friends life or death.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
