Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope
Less work for me! Quipped Toryn as he watched Breezy's deft work with approval. Most certainly my verdant friend! We'll make a professional salvager out of you yet.

Toryn fished around his backpack and pulled out a small wood-carving of a scantily clad woman with a rather...prodigious bust size. A while back I was traveling through Cheliax and found myself in need of coin, so I plied my trade as a craftsman, making custom wood figurines for a modest fee. This was one of of my more popular products, though the humans kept requesting I make the breasts even bigger for some reason. Perhaps they consider lower back issues to be attractive? Anyways, Giggles here found some humor in my previous employment and the nickname stuck.

Dunndero let's out a load guffa as he follows behind Toryn snickering behind his freehand, continuing to watch for anything out of place.

Lucian chuckles and just shakes his head as he follows the others. "I suspect she has a list of colorful names for him."

The wizard continued to focus his senses, casting about looking for traces of magic. If he finds no magical traces he will look for anything that might have been a personal belonging to any of the current or former inhabitants in order to see if he can pick up any psychic traces. "If you guys run across anything that looks like a personal item from any of the locals, bring it to me."

(Action - Detecting Magic. If they come across anything that looks like a personal item, old weapon, book or bit of clothing, he will use Read Psychometric Resonance on the item.)

Satoru and Arielle will follow along with Lucian, casting Detect Magic where he (Lucian) is not focused. Many hands make work lighter, and all that. Also, it gives him ample opportunity to to strain his neck while looking up and asking questions. Definitely looking up. He’s definitely not looking straight ahead unless she’s behind him or to the side. Definitely not!

[[Casting Detect Magic and furtively not looking where he’s not supposed to.]]

Breezy makes short work of the trap and gradually unfastens the line so it hangs limp and doesnt release the catch for the stones and anvil. Lucian, Toryn, Breezy and Kallista move into the small chamber and see nothing unusual. Toryn tries the door and finds it unlocked and untrapped and opens it to expose a room with 2 beds. One looks like it had been slept in...guesses make it Gurtlekeps room. The other bed has a large sack on it and asundry tools. laying on it.

Looking over the tools they are found to be A superb quality set of of Stonemasonry tools 'Sterling Artisans Tools' holding a value of 50 gold and a set of Gem cutting tools of the same value . 'Sterling Artisans Tools' for that field as well. Within the bag is 102 silver coins and 2 well crafted Garnets worth 30 gold each...that look like they would fit perfectly in the Anvils slots in the shrine.

They radiate no magic however. In fact nothing in the room looks magical.

((did we divvy up the loot from the wolfs lair? as well as this one. I know we went through a couple fights in succession. so it might have been overlooked.))

[[I don’t know. I think Satoru can wield swords and shortbows now, but I don’t know if anything from any of the loot we’ve gotten is.]]

They gathered up the treasure in the room and the talk turned to should they search the tower, or head downstairs; After all there were prisoners downstairs who needed rescuing....or should they head back to town with the mushrooms and the pelt of the gray beast and return later.

Breezy didn't remember the prisoners initially but when reminded said "Well I suppose we should go save them. Although one kobold got away yesterday so they know we are coming..."

Exiting the Kobold leaders room, Kallista asked, so have we determined if there is another way down? Or are we taking the stairs we barricaded last night?
Quote this message in a reply
Back in the wolves den, they looked at the barricade they made and, which had slowed the Kobolds coming through ...but had not stopped them. It was easy now, to see the crawlspace path they had used through the furnishings. Theyd have to dismantle the barricade which would take a few minutes before descending. Breezy and Kallista had spoke up about needing to rescue the prisoners. They looked to the others for agreement. Larz merely nodded.

((ooc- need 3 more to agree to descend rather than go to the tower or back to town before I post going down.))

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
