Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope

[DM Dread]

Harley was the first to react when Dunndero screamed in pain. Turning she snatched up her Mallet and sprinted around the corner and down. She stopped just shy of the door to the Den and waited for to catch her breath a little before rushing around the corner to fight.

Then Kobolds started pouring from the door of the wolf den, most moving past where Harley stood and going into the armory, swarming the party. ! stopped in front of Harley and stabbed out at her with its spear. ...twice. Harley blocked both attacks with her Mallet.

The first Kobold into the Armory ran right up to Lucian and stabbed at him with its spear babbling in Draconian. The Battlewizard dodged the spear ready to engage the lizard-creature.
The others than entered the armory did not have time to attack before the party struck back. Two had not exited the den, but stood in the doorway ready to enter the fray, preventing anyone from getting to Dunndero.

Larz tucked the hymnal and paper into his backpack and ran down the hall following Harley, stopping at the corner and taking stock of the situation. 

Oriana had seen something move past the door right before the Kobolds started pouring in. She raised her shield to defend and called forth a blast of cold water that slammed into the kobold stabbing at her. ((changed it to a two action for Oriana since she couldnt stride)) The blast froze the Lizard-like creature and it fell to the floor dead.

Breezy who had been intent on moving towards Dunndero looking for an enemy stood in the secret entry way and could see several Kobolds, he targetted the one to the front of Lucian and the one behind and loosed an electric arc The jagged blue bold shout around Oriana and Satoru and into the Kobold lighting up his teeth. The bounced to the one behind him. The the small leshy raised his shield ready to fight. 

Toryn ran up behind Larz and pulled out his bow.

Dunndero lay on the ground, but his breathing stabilized and the blood stopped pouring out of him. 

Lucian called forth his mystic shield and then with two force blasts in a row, killed the two Kobolds Breezy had prepped for him. Clearing the path outside.

Satoru and Arielle acted as one, Satoru calling up a glass shield to protect him and Arielle lashing out with her fist at the Kobold to her front. Her fist hitting the Kobold upside the jaw. with force enough to knock a tooth out. ((just added an attack instead of a stride))

Gurtlekep seeing two of his soldiers fall in the doorway, rushed in and moved forward to attack Lucian. The wizard tried to block the shortsword blow coming straight for his chest and it blunted it but the shield of force was dissipated in the attack and he felt the blade drive deep into him and he fell to the floor blood pouring from his chest. Then the Kobold lookout spun on Arielle swinging his sword.. in a sideways arc that slashed deep into her thigh.

[Harley the Barbarian]

Rage instantly came to the young woman at the sight of her friends being overrun by the little monsters and with a banshees scream, she waded into the fray, her mighty maul sweeping the small hallway and hitting the kobold before her, she arched for a another swing, but her weapon was just too big for such a small passage and she nearly smacked a wall instead.

[Brilliant Breeze]

The small druid tired, annoyed and honestly having a very long and bad day.  "Why won't this day end!" as the small normally jovial leshy cast its electric arc at the two kobolds in the room near it.

Larz says a quick prayer and slings 3 metal darts into the Kobold standing in his way then movges into a position where he can see into both rooms.

[Toryn Togglebit]

Toryn rounded the corner past Harley as soon as he saw the kobold in the hallway drop dead. He whirled around in surprise as he came face to face with another one of the small lizards to his left. Reflexes carried the gnome to success as he quickly unsheathed his shortsword and drove the blade straight through the kobold's chest before it could react.

[Oriana Bronzeguard]

Oriana tightens her grip on her shield, keeping it up as the small scaly enemies swarm into the room and the leader drops Lucian with a single thrust. She couldn't reach him yet to help, hopefully he could hold on a few moments longer.

Seeing Breezy move into position but the druid's shield was hanging uselessly at the side, Oriana barked some advice, "Shield up Leshy!" as she held her shield to draw Breezy's attention to it.

Needing to clear the room before thinking of helping Lucian, the young woman draws deeply into the elemental plane of fire and light and summons forth an ally to burn these kobolds.

A portal opens in the space above her head with a rush of heat and a small winged creature flew down. It was hard to look at as it radiated bright light and scorching temperatures, but it was unmistakably a dragon wreathed in fire, if miniature in size. It roared down and attempted to slam itself into the two kobolds ahead of Oriana, then turned to do the same for Gurtlekep before swooping up towards the still open portal and returning from whence it came, the temperature lowering dramatically as the portal closed behind it.

Actions:
1st: Raise Shield
2nd & 3rd: Flying Flame. Will hit all kobolds in the room, no friendlies. DC 17 reflex saves or take 1d6 fire damage.

[Satoru Hanzo]

“Gah!”  Satoru stumbles back a few feet behind Brilliant Breeze as a number of things happen in rapid succession.  Instinctively, he sees Lucian go down, electricity arcing about, and some sort of dragon turn into a massive fireball.  Time to get out of here!

Once in the relative safety of the hallway, he points at Lucian and whispers “Shitheth…”  Without even waiting to watch the man’s wounds close, he turns to his companion and says “Gor’eta”.  A shield forms around her and she turns her head to favor him with a proud smile before turning back to their main enemy.

2: Cast Stabilize on Lucian
3: Cast Protect Companion with Life Block on Arielle

[DM Dread]

Harley roared in fury, swinging the Maul and catching the lithe kobold in the side an almost knocking him from his feet. His body seemed to mold around the hammer and lift off the ground before dropping back to the floor raising his spear in defense. She brought the hammer around and down towards him a second time, but he was nimble enough to avoid it the second time.

The Kobold in front of Harley thrusted once...twice with its spear then backed up to the other doorway and said in draconic ...'you try' and the kobold standing in the doorway to the wolfden stepped out and tried to stab Harley. and successfully stabbed The Barbarian in the thigh with its spear. It tried a second time and missed.

The Kobold to Oriana's front moved forward cautiously and stabbed outward with its spear twice and the Kineticist was successful in keeping the kobold from striking. 

The Kobold adjacent stepped to his right to make room and attacked the Eidolon and stabbed her through a wing once but she avoided the second attack. 

Finally the last Kobold ran past his friends to join the others in the armory. and at Gurtlekeps guidance stopped in front of the winged fey and tried to kill her.  Once more Arielle was fighting in almost a dance, avoiding the assault.

Larz had planned to get into position to heal, but the kobolds kept stopping that. Their cunning combat was beginning to annoy the dwarf. He fired a volley of silver projectiles of magic at the one in front of Harley currently. and the draconic relative was pierced in dozens of places. Knowing he couldnt get forward, Larz raised his shield with a growl.

Oriana opened her gate to the plane of fire this time, and a dragonet of flame appeared rushing towards her visible enemies. The firsst Kobold ducked underneath the flying flame, 
 The next in line stared right in the face of the flame and was seriously burned as it fell to the floor scorched to a crisp. The next in line dodged it, seeing how it had scorched his brethren.  Finally Gurtlekep seeing the flaming dragonet coming swatted it out of the air and scowled at Oriana.

Breezy once again sent an arc of electricity towards two of the kobold warriors catching them both and injuring them but not finishing them. 

Toryn cussed just as Larz had, with another Kobold stepping into the fray, and slowing his ability to take action. still holding his bow in one hand, he drew his sword in the other and spun and ran out into the courtyard and towards the other door. Maybe he could get at them from the other side ....

Dunndero lay there breathing dreaming of smashing kobolds.

Lucian s blood was pumping out of him with every heartbeat.

Satoru backed into the hallway and first shut Lucians wounds from a distance then placed a protective field around Arielle to help sustain her even to the extent of sacrificing his own health.

Gurtlekep takes a step toward Oriana, behind Arielle and slashes out almost subconsciously at The winged fey as he advances. The blade hit the protective aura and couldnt pass through it. However Satoru felt the pressure in his chest and blood dripped from his nostril from the effort of protecting Arielle Gurtlekep didnt give it a thought, just a glance as he hought he could end the fey, but his second attack went against Oriana His aim was true, but she shoved her shield between the blade and her, blocking most of it but seeing a slight nick appear in the shield.
