Chapter 1: Hollows Last Hope
Toryn left the armory to the good dwarf and checked out the second room instead. ...I think we found the former living space of our furry "friends". he remarked as he gave the room a sniff, and immediately gagged.

The gnome shook off the nausea and gingerly entered the room, taking care not to accidentally step into a pile of wolf poop. Nothing suspicious immediately jumped out at him here, so he made his way through the arches to clear the other area. Toryn kept his eyes sharp and blade at the ready, in case there was some errant furball that managed to sleep through their courtyard scuffle.

Breezy moved to the giant doorway to try to keep the group in sight as well as Oriana so that it could notify the group if anything happened in either direction.

Slipping into the room and moving slowly to the right, her gaze sweeping the scene as she half hoped that something needing an ass whooping would jump at them, You know two shits, I was thinking we should post up some wolves head at the front gate, dead critters like that might scare off their companions.

Dunndero stood watching Larz look around the Armory pulling at his beard like he knew he was missing something. Meanwhile Toryn moved into the study turned wolf den, followed by Harley while Lucien went to the doorway, able to back up either Larz or Toryn. Breezy backed up to be able to see Oriana and watch the doorways. While Satoru and Arielle watched the eastern ways into the courtyard and the tower door.

In the room beyond the archway; They found faint light from the setting sun entering the chamber from gaping holes in the roof. One of the stone columns that once supported the ceiling has toppled, its broken pieces littering the floor. A thick patch of black mushrooms hides in a near corner (marked by the dark green X) giving the room an earthy scent thats barely noticeable over the stench of wolves urine and fur.

What looks like a placard (the pinkish line) has been stuck to a possible exit facing south, as a probable staircase goes down separated from the room by a low wall. while it appears a pile of objects has been placed at the end of the fallen column (marked by the blue-gray X). Toryn also notices two small vials laying on the ground by the doorway, though they appear empty. (the burgundy v's)

Toryn picked up and stowed the two empty vials in his pockets as he entered the room. Maybe he could discover what kind of liquid they held when full, but in any case, no reason to leave some perfectly good bottles lying around. The earthy smell of mushrooms was a welcome breath of fresh air in an otherwise dank and smelly room. Ah! More iron bloom mushrooms. The others will be pleased to know. The gnome's eyes lit up as he spotted the pile of junk in the corner as well. And some salvage! How fortuitous!

The shrooms and pile of stuff were mentally filed away to collect in a bit. First, the gnome went to investigate the placard and take a peek down the stairs. Look Giggles, a staircase. It must lead deeper into the monastery. he remarked to Harley. How many more hungry critters are lurking about down there, I wonder? I suggest we find a way to secure the door to the previous rooms until we are ready to descend.

Toryn moved around up to where the stairs started down and saw a sign written in Draconic saying Stay Out Truescales Territory. Thats not what startled him though. It was Gurtlekep, The Kobold who had run off. Looking totally healed and standing right there on the top couple stairs.  As Toryn stepped around the corner looking right at him, The Kobold holding a dagger in his hands, turned and sprinted down the stairs into the dark, spun at the bottom of the stairs and threw the dagger at him. The dagger struck Toryn in the shoulder and then he could see The Kobold talking to someone.

Having given the armory a quick once over, Larz returns to the Hall and walks up the hall just past the open door that Hardly and Toryn went into. Facing the unexplored hall way shield raised defensively.

Dunndero follows Larz

Lucian moves with Larz, trying to keep the Toryn, Harley and Dun in sight.  As soon as he hears Toryn cry out in pain Lucian casts shield and moves into a good position to see what is coming at them.

(Action 1 - Mystic Armor should still up. Lucian can maintain it as long as he doesn't get interrupted and lose concentration, can last up to 24 hours, +1 AC. Casts Shield. +1 AC and Gains Shield 5 Reaction.)
(Action 2 - Move into a position for clear line of sight to all three fighters)

Owowowow! Toryn shrieked in surprise as he was stabbed with a sharp object for what felt like the fifth time today. He yanked the dagger out with a wince and tumbled past Harley, hiding behind staircase wall. He frantically fished out a signal whistle attached to some small brown cordage from out of his tunic. Offering up a quick mental apology to Harley's ears (and his own), the gnome put the metal cylinder to his lips and blew as hard as he could. A high pitched trill echoed through the stone halls.

Trouble! The lizard's back! he shouted to his friends.

Action 1: Step/Stride behind the staircase wall
Action 2: Interact with Signal Whistle
Action 3: Use Signal Whistle

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
