Satoru’s genial face seems to wilt ever-so-slightly as the hulking overboss bears down on him.  He takes an involuntary step back.  Arielle, intimately in-tune with her Companion’s typical demeanor, immediately notices the change and takes a few steps around Payden, reinserting herself between the two of them.  From this point on, she will remain a physical barrier between the two parties.  She draws herself up to her full height, flaring her wings out to their fullest extent, icy grey-blue eyes boring into the big man’s.

“Maspik karov.  Eem ta’aseh et zeh shuve, b’vadai titzta’ehr.”

The small leafy Leshy sighed. Brilliant Breeze turned around and gently attempted to place the jar on the counter. Honestly it was amusing to watch the small creature try eventually it gave up walked over to Laurel and tugs on the heam of her dress to get her attention handing her the empty container.  It seems to ignore the customers.

Breezy is a small creature composed of various types of leaves and vines with a humanoid form. The green of their leaves is vibrant and probably would be beautiful if it looked like it cared for itself more.  Breezy wears what looks like hide armor wrapped around its torso. They have large black eyes and look up at Laurel questioningly. "I don't mind. The trip, or the gathering .However. The last time those mereswans tried to eat me." Breezy says in a small voice the sounds like the wind blowing through the leaves gently.

Lucian observed the little creature with interest as it spoke to the Herbalist. He turned his gaze to meet Mistress Genre when she finished speaking to the little plant person and gave them her full attention. "You look exhausted ma'am. Again, my apologies for the interruption."   There was great empathy in his voice for sure.  Whether it was repelling Goblins and Orcs' from the borders and towns for days on end or staying up for days trying to master a specific set of spell dynamics, Lucian was no stranger to exhaustion.

The young wizard did take time to shake the shop owner's hand if she was amiable to that type of greeting, otherwise he bowed respectfully. "My name is Lucian Blackwood, and as my friend Dunndero here was saying, we are tasked with venturing into the Darkwood. If it would make ... Breezy?  Is it?" He nodded to the little being before looking back up to the shop owner.  "If it would make Breezy's trip safer, they could join us for as long as they like.  Though if you could share any information on the Darkwood that would be most welcome, specifically information you might have on the location of the monastery ruins."

Whwn Satoru gets flustered and commands Arielle to get room for him from Payday. The tone of the meeting changes entirely as she raises her wings and becomes threatening. The big man stopped and grinned probably the evilist grin hed ever seen from a person. his voice lowered and he looked to become very calm, though he raised up on the balls of his feet. and his hands moved to his side, looking for all intent as a viper ready to strike. Thats how its going to be ehh. And here I thought you had some friendly questions. So what is your purpose of this meeting......

Meanwhile Larz brings up the Monastery to The priestess who looks at him strangely and said Funny you bring up the Monastery. Thats the last area Barlus said he was going to investigate. Supposedly The Consortium has put a bounty on Wolves, especially one thats a large beast...gray fur and a meance that drags off people. Barlus is a hunter and thought to try and hunt the wolf for the bounty. Hes been gone about a week now. Im beginning to get worried.

At the hearbalists, She answers Dunndero straight away. Dunndero You know as much about the local lands as any, working in Jaks place. ((ooc See the campaign information thread. It has a large amount of information there.)) and then grinned...ahhh your asking particularly about the Darkwood and what info isnt readily at hand.  Well The Darkwood is a strange and deadly place. Its a center for Fey Activity and some say there's even a portal to the First World there. But beware the Seelie and Unseelie Court both hold sway over the Northen section of the Forest and The Faerie Queen and The Fellnight Queen are opposed. The central woods are more inhabited by scaley denizens...Lizardmen, Kobolds, Dragons, Wyverns...all have been seen...but towards the river The Wolves hold sway...Lycanthropes are aplenty with at least 7 clans that I know of in that area, all feuding for who will rule.

As Lucian added more regarding the Monastery and the possibilty they would assist Breeze in obtaining some Irobloom Mushrooms. her demeanor changed...she looked at the Wizard and he could see worry as well as fatigue in her eyes. If youd help Breezy that would make me very happy. You saw me giving remedies to the townsfolk. Its strange, I havent seen an outbreak like this before. its almost like something is tainting the very air of the Vale. The treatment, for this illness that has fallen the townsfolks relies on Ironbloom Mushrooms. They are plentiful in the woods normally, but for some reason I havent been able to find any in my normal searches and Im afraid a deeper trek is needed. To an area that is more dangerous. Id be indebted to you if you could find and secure as many as you can, but at leasts a dozen of the mushrooms.. and yes I do know where Droskars Crucible is; in The Eastern foothills of Droskars Crag

Breezy looks at Lucian when he says their name, and studies the human as if seeing really for the first time.  Its eyes narrow a little bit, and says "I mean your tall." then they perk up as if a thought just occurred to them. "You can carry a lot more mushrooms!" At this Breeze got excited, looking at Laurel and practically jumps up and down, "Can I???"

Turning to Dunndero the little leshy smiles saying. "Ironbloom Mushrooms? Oh those are somewhat easy to find if you know where to look. They like to grow around old dwarven things. But they can grow anywhere that is dark and has a lot of metal." Breezy looks quite happy to show off what it knows of about flora.

Lucian smiles at Breezy and gestures toward Dunndero, "And just imagine, my friend Dunndero here can carry twice as many as me!"

He took a solid mental note about Ironwood mushrooms.  He liked to dabble with alchemy and herbs here and there.  Nothing serious like this shopkeeper, but in his free time, it was a small passion of his. "I bet you could teach me quite a bit about herbs."

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
