The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2)
#11
Tiburon started grabbing his gear right away and made his way to the ATV to arrive right on time. As he was walking to the meeting spot. Tiburon thought to himself. About time we got a mission. I was about to lose my mind being stuck at this base. He was more than ready for a new mission.

Grumbling as he ordered the two bar wenches from the night before to not let the door smack their asses on the way out, he swiped up his communicator, and then set about gearing up. Hopefully this time it wouldn't be a clusterfuck of an op. He thought to himself.

Aaron was at the firing range experimenting with vintage gunpowder-based firearms like shotguns and assault rifles when the command came through. Unlike energy weapons, ballistic guns were loud as hell and kicked like a mule when firing, but there was an undeniable elegance to them. Just solid wood and metal, no complex circuitry to mess with.

He packed up and went off to get ready for the mission. It was about time there was some action; Aaron never lacked for things to do, but he was starting to feel stale just sitting in base for half a month.

Marcus collected his blade and made his way to the ATV.  His gear and any equipment he cared about was still stowed neatly in vehicle.  That was their real home, the base was a pit stop.  He had been training and practicing non-stop since they'd come back from the first mission.  That put a lot of questions in their heads.  A lot of questions that didn't have any way of being answered. At least for now.  So training was perfect for clarity and keeping his mind off dwelling on things that he couldn't sort out in the first place.

Within a few minutes he was geared up and ready well before 1100.

At 1100 on the dot, the Lieutenant was standing near the front of the ATV. It was a casual stance, not one usually reserved for subordinates. "A large group of non-human raiders have been hitting towns on the southern border of Coalition.  They have so far taken out two squads of normal coalition troops and their reported numbers are around a hundred fighters of various races. Many of which are immune to conventional weapons."  He smiles and gestures to the assembled group, "That leaves us to do what this squad was trained specifically to do. Hunt them down and kill the fuckers."

He glanced at Aaron, "All known coordinates of these raiders have been sent to the ATV's on board computer.  We leave as soon as everyone is ready."

With that Nolan stepped aboard the ATV.

With that said, Marcus climbed into the ATV.  His gear was already stowed and he had even made sure he had replenished his snacks for the road trip.

Aaron acknowledged the Lieutenant's information with a quick salute and climbed into the ATV. He and ran a quick systems check purely out of routine, but he was good to go.

Viego got on he had a full bag stuffed with snacks and food. He was also carrying his newest toy. he knew his SAMAS was already onboard and stowed with the rest of his gear. He tried not to look too bored as he kept an eye out to see if the psi-stalkers and dog boys were coming with them this time.

Catching the tail end of the LT's comments, he walked up the ramp of the ATV, finally a simple SnD mission, he smiled and set about making sure his equipment was properly secured.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
