Selina watches the creature run off into the cave. There would be no surprise on their side now. She sighs and looks at the unconscious creature, then picks up a stone and touches it, a soft light beginning to glow from it. Hefting her shield into a defensive position, She gets ready for an extended fight.

[OoC: Are you moving? You know so the light can shine into the cave so people can see the kobold when they shoot at him? 😛 ]

Seeing the remaining kobold skitter past Mardak and run into the cave, Jonath plunges in after, even as his own teammates missiles whistle by him, unfortunately missing their target. He runs after the creature, but it takes only moments for him to realize he likely won't be able to stop the creature before it is able to drop the gate, blocking their way. He skids to a halt, and instead focuses his concentration on the area just ahead of the kobold. Out of nowhere, faintly glowing strands of energy begin to coalesce, quickly taking the form of a small, clockwork soldier, not unlike the one he had given to the small child in the city before they left, though much larger and less detailed. No sooner has it formed than it lashes out at the surprised kobold, smashing it with its sword which, while not actually sharp, still hits with a solid crack on the creature's shoulder.
[OOC: Move action to run 30' into the cave, which looks like it should bring me up about 10' or so short of the kobold. Then manifesting Astral Construct, placing it just on the other side of the kobold (which should be within my 25' range for the power). Will choose the "Trip" option from Menu A of the Astral Construct creation menu. Slam:[1d20+2] = 14+2 = 16; Damage[1d4+3] = 4+3 = 7. STR check:[1d20+2] = 13+2 = 15 for the trip, if necessary.]
Betimi runs toward the cave entrance and as soon as she spots him with her darkvision, she fires a crystalline shard at the Kobold. Unfortunately the shard goes wide and hits a wall with a sizzle.
Selina casts her light spell and then dashes to the cave entrance. The light is strong enough to just reach the kobold and bathe him in shadowy illumination. Suddenly a small silvery creature materializes in front of the Kobold, blocking his way. A split second later, the construct lashes out and bashes him in the face with a tentacle. The blow snaps its jaw and sends him spinning head over heels into the ground. The construct pokes at the Kobold checking to see if it is still moving but then vanishes a few seconds later when the power's duration has finished. Resume regular play... All of you look at each other and wait quietly for any hint that the shit was about to hit the fan. Did the Kobold or the combat make enough noise to alert anyone even without sounding their alarm system? For the moment there isn't any hint that the kobolds are in any heightened stage of alertness. Looking around between the mouth of the cave to the Portcullis, you first notice a 15' bridge over a deep 10' wide hole. So deep that your dark vision nor your low light vision can see the bottom. Ten feet beyond the far side of the bridge is the portcullis. There is a rope hanging from a pulley system on the other side of the gate that trails off along the ceiling to the east and south.
"Did any of you see the kobold when he ran across the bridge? Did it stay to one side or another?"
She quietly moves up alongside Jonath and draws another crystal as she looks at the bridge. "I'll help you check it." [Aid another on Search, assuming Jonath or another person Searches the bridge for a trap. Search [1d20+1] = 2+1 = 3] [OoC lol.. she has an interesting technique. You've never seen anyone aid another by closing their eyes and spinning in circles]

[OoC: The kobold crossed the bridge and had made it to the 5' square just north of the portcullis. Jonath blocked the kobold by creating the construct in the 5' square just south of the portcullis. I hope this clears things up. If not, feel free to ask more questions.]

Sheathing his sword, he goes over to Betimi and tries to stop her before she gets really dizzy. "Here honey, lemme help you." He tries to steady Betimi as he looks for anything that could be dangerous.
