The First Mission - (Chapter 1)
Once the gag is removed from his mouth, Cord gratefully takes a sip of the offered water, then a quick bit of confusion passes over his face before it sets in a neutral expression, and he looks his "rescuer" over, taking in the civilian clothing.

Fuck, he things to himself. No idea who this fucker is, and he wants to make threats?  Too close to the Tolkeen border, better play it safe just in case...

Keeping his expression still neutral, he picks a spot near the wall opening to lock his eyes on, preparing for the worst before answering, "Cord Hammach, Private, Coalition Navy", then clamped his mouth shut.
"Your a long way from the water sailor. Allow me to introduce myself, 2nd lieutenant Nolan Randall, Coalition Army Intelligence."

"Now if you want out of those chains, you're going to have to give me some more information."

"Like how did you come to be in this predicament?"

"Otherwise I have absolutely no problem just leaving you in the chains, and stuff in your ass into transport all the way back to Chi-Town before they come off."

"What will it be?"
Army Intelligence, Isn't.  Cord thought to himself looking this strange man up and down one more time.

"Look 'Lieutenant'," Cord replied, "unless you've got something to back that up, I'm not inclined to believe you.  Imagine, Army Intelligence going in somewhere without knowing what's going on?  Really doesn't add to your credibility does it?  So, until you prove you're who you say you are, all you're getting from me is Cord Hammach, Private, Coalition Navy, 'Sir'."
"Fair enough and I expected no different from a good Coalition soldier, since we're in civvies. "

Nolan then gives the bound man another sip of water from his canteen.

Then he says, "Nothing personal." and promptly stuffing the gag back into his mouth.

Then Nolan steps back through the hole to  get out of the way.

"Marcus, take him outside while Aaron checks out the Borg. I suggest maybe putting him inside one of the parked cars on the street, so you can get back in here. Keep this guy again we don't need him making unwanted noise."

"We'll get him sorted out once we know we're not about to get in a firefight. "
Viego took that opportunity to speak up, as the LT. began giving orders. "Should one of us be keeping a look out for the town mob, Sir?"
"Good idea, to be honest, I was hoping that the mob was released from the mental control once the demon left"

"But you're right, it's still a risk."

"Sergeant,  which of the two is better suited for that task do you think Marcus or Viego? Since Aaron is needed here"

Then he pauses for a second in thought, "Before anyone goes anywhere, do we have any  or grenades we can plant on the Borg before Aaron wakes it?"
Aaron had already pulled out a pocket flashlight from his toolkit and was poking around the cyborg's chassis. The Borg's body is made of a reinforced ceramic/metal alloy hybrid, similar to our mech units. Aaron tapped the metal with his flashlight for emphasis. We're not carrying the kind of ordinance that'll do any significant damage to him.

Let Marc stay here with me.
Aaron flashed his brother a grin. My brother can toss a tank like it's a 10-pound poodle. If Sleeping Beauty gets ornery after his wake-up call, he'll be restrained with zero issue. I can erect several forcefield layers on top of that as an extra precaution if needed.
Nolan  nods at Aaron's assessment.

"You know the tech better than I would, so I'll take your word for it."

"Viego, get our guest clear of the building, somewhere he won't be in the line of fire. Then find an overwatch that will give you a good field of view. If you have a way to avoid being seen like Aaron's invisibility, you could even practice flying."

Maybe it was because he was a magical fey himself:; but the fact that vehicle is really a dragon doesn't seem to phase him at all.  He's already made the mental shift to start looking out how that can be used tactically.
Viego nods, saying "If you want I can go get a birds eye view for a bit to see what is going on, boss." the thought of flying has him excited for sure. That said he moves to get the stranger from the closet, while he waits for an answer. Picking up the guy wasn't a challenge, so he wasn't too focused on the task.  He does eye the chains for a bit though cause they looked odd.

Throwing the man over his shoulder, Viego only kind of glanced at him with a sorry buddy look on his face. To the man he says "Sorry orders are orders, you understand." not sure if he understood at all or not.

"Yes, if you can prevent yourself from being seen while flying, definitely do that."
"Otherwise you need to stay below rooftop level so you don't get spotted."
"I don't know if you can turn invisible like your brother is able to, still learning your abilities."

"Treat our Guest well. Make sure he's tucked somewhere safe, and relatively comfortable. We don't want him catching a bullet if he's on our side"

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
