Ulfgar - The best of Rat Stew. Wait What!? (Chapter One)

All three goblins rush up to Ulfgar, likely hoping to overwhelm him. The little shits swing their weapons wildly at the dwarf, but none of them manage to hit him. One goblin gets a lucky blow, but it's crude weapon harmlessly glances off Ulfgar's armor.

And knowing goblin, Ulfgar realizes they said something along the lines of, 'Fuck you! You bearded bitch!'


Goblin 1 attack: 1d20+4 = 6
Goblin 2 attack: 1d20+4 = 15
Goblin 3 attack: 1d20+4 = 8

So taken aback by the utter vulgarity of the goblins, or perhaps it was the laughter that was rolling forth from his mouth, he fumbled his throwing hammer, watching in dismay as it clattered to the ground. Ye dids dat on purpose Silverbeard, ye wants me gettin' hit a time or two fer all da insults I toss yer way, he roared, even as he reached for the large dwarven warhammer at his side. 

Smacking the little shite: 1d20+6 7

The little beasts continue their attack.  Two blows deflect off of armor, one misses wildly.

Goblin 1 attack: 1d20+4 = 16
Goblin 2 attack: 1d20+4 = 13
Goblin 3 attack: 1d20+4 = 6

Though his armor seemed up to the task, the grumpy dwarf was having a hard time manipulating his fingers around the haft of the hammer, even as he attempted to strike one of the goblins with it. 

Warhammer: 1d20+6 10

Ulfgar swings at one of the goblins, but the little bastard ducks nimbly under the blow.  The goblin that ducked under the blow, sliced Ulfgar with a solid strike between his armored layers, cutting him deeply.


Goblin 1 attack: 1d20+4 = 8
Goblin 2 attack: 1d20+4 = 22 - Hit!
Goblin 2 Damage: 1d6+2 = 7
Goblin 3 attack: 1d20+4 = 10

Pain searing up from the wound, the fiery headed dwarf roared his agony and rage, his hammer sweeping across his body toward the goblin who had scored the hit.

Damage: 1d8+4 7

Ulfgar cracks one of the goblins head right open and the little shit falls dead at his feet. The other two, still all fired up, continue their attack.  Both miss while one of the blows bounces off Ulfgar's armor.

Goblin 1 attack: 1d20+4 = 14 - Miss.
Goblin 2 Attack: 1d20+4 = 7 - Miss.

Breaking into song, with an occasional shout of "Shut it Soulforger, yer voice nae fer singin'" Ulfgar waded into the goblins, stepping over the corpse of their fellow as his Hammer swept in again.

A second goblin goes down as Ulfgar's hammer crushes it damn near to a pulp.  The last goblin keeps pressing the attack but its swing bounces harmlessly off Ulfgar's armor.

The golbinoid's weapon bouncing harmlessly off his shoulder, he swept the hammer in a sideways arch, laughing as he yelled, Oh, dis is gonna hurt fer sure!
