[OoC: At 6th level no one can do a lot of damage.  Tomeal got a good hit in with an ability he's never had a chance to use before. Considering how badly he did in the Lice battle it was nice the dice finally rolled in his favor.

And you also know the damage reduction isn't cold iron or your blade would have sliced through it.

In case you missed it, remember to add a +1 Morale bonus to Selina's attacks.  It's written in the quoted area below the damage chart. ]

[OoC: The Red Creature.  In the Damage Inflicted column of the chart it says Crozar did 1 damage to it.]

[[Well, I think we all did poorly against the lice. I blame myself for not getting the group mobile soon enough.  Tomeal has the almighty power attack and a solid strength mod (neither of which Selina has).  If Tomeal chose to start wielding a sword two-handed he’d be blowing stuff up easily.  I included the +1 already because I forgot to wipe the Bless from the previous battle, so I’m using that instead for now.]]

[OoC: Whelming Blast is a 30' cone.  If Ning uses it at C-4 he will catch Selina in the blast.  Remember, Ning still has his breath weapon.]

[[Selina does have a pretty strong Will save mod at +12. And wouldn't a breath weapon affect the same area?]]

According to the 30' cone templates, Ningalku should be able to do it without hitting Selina.  He can also angle it upward.  Note you trold us the breath weapon was ineffective when Ningalu used it on them before, and it is also a 30' cone.

[You wanted to stop moving at C-4.  I'm happy to assume the most obvious direction for cones.  But if you plan to pick a SW corner and then aim the spell NW, you will have to tell me that's what you're doing because we have from my recollection always picked the corner closest to the target and then emanated the cone directly out from that spot.

As for Spitfire, I never said it worked or didn't work.  You said you were waiting to see if there was any effect from the weapons hitting the wall and then Crozar activated them and combat was triggered.

So do you still want to do the Whelming blast or do you want to do Spitfire? (remember, you know it has some level of acid resistance)

And can someone tell me what the yellow squares on the grid are suppose to represent?  ]

[Yes it effects the same area but there were ways to change what squares the cone hit.  Even moving 5' north would have missed Selina but still hit the creatures. ]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
