The First Mission - (Chapter 1)

---Aaron---

Right in front of the Inn is a large open area of the town.  It has grass area that looks as though the towns folk might play football on it. As Aaron slips past the grassy section he notices something step from a large building facing out towards it.  Something that sends a slight chill running through him, as it is obviously not human.  This thing also looks like it is invisible, or at least it holds itself with a confidence, just like the black fairy, that says it believes it's completely unseen.

Aaron kept a low profile as he watched the monster strut (float?) around like it owned the place. Growing up, he had heard stories about magical creautes of unearthly beauty and ones too horrifying to face; this thing was just a miserable, decrepit-looking bastard. Still, Aaron wasnt one to underestimate an enemy based on their looks, especially things of magical origin.

Was this the puppet master they were looking for, or just another minion? Too early to tell, but whatever it was, it was an obstacle to be removed.

Aaron hit his earpiece and relayed his findings to the others in a low whisper. Hostile spotted. Seems magical in origin. Possibly cloaked. Looks like Satan's Flying Scrotum. He kept a close eye on the being as he talked.
~"Aaron give us an exact idea where it is, and a bearing. And keep us updated while we discuss a solution.  Stay hidden at all costs."~

"Alright guys, what area effect weapons do we have, aside from Viego himself?"

"If none that means Viego you will be up.  My recommendation is that I wait until Aaron tells us it is not able to observe the exit to this alley. Then I gop out and move away from the alley before drawing it out. AI might be the higher rank, but let's be honest, as far as the emperor is concerned, I am the expendable one."

"As soon as Aaron lets you know that I have it's attention, the three of you kill it. Viego takes the lead on that, you fellas back him up. Aaron stays invisible to provid overwatch."

"Ideas?"
Intellect isn't what is needed here. But it will be if this thing isn't the big bad we are seeking. Khayman said sharply, Sorry Lt, your presence is needed more than mine, the boys have all my knowledge, but you are just starting to show them yours. He turned toward the direction that Aaron had gone. I'll play bait, Veigo can burn the area and Marcus and you sir can clean up the pieces. Who knows, I might actually survive this unscathed. Then under his breath, it would be a first.
~"Aaron let us know when the creature is not facing the alley. You stay hidden no matter what. You are on overwatch.  Khayman is gonna draw it's attention so we can kill it.  You stay invisible throughout, do not engage it."~

Satisfied that Aaron is now in the loop, Nolan looks at Khayman and just gives a nod. Now they wait for Aaron's signal.
Aaron executed his orders, relaying the creature's position, the direction it was facing, and any sudden behavioral changes, to his team. He maintained visual contact with his target at all times, but remained vigilant of his surroundings as well.

Nolan is going to hang back just a step behind Viego and Marcus, and as soon as the creature appears try to discreetly cast Befuddle at it.
Knowing Aaron's relative positioning, Khayman slipped past the others moving as sure footed as he could and making the least amount of noise, but he was a soldier, not some skinny little pick pocket, as his boots squelched down on something just outside the alley, he "accidently" stepped from the shadows making his presence known the invisible creature before turning and making his way slowly away from Aaron and the others.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
