Just to make it clear as I realize that the maps may be difficult to read, the 3rd floor does not have a large enough area  for the wasp to land.  Neither of the platforms on that level could support the Wasp.  

Also, the gravity plane, due to the weight of the dirtball, runs along at "ground" level, so all four levels are on the same side of the gravity plane.

Anyone who beats a DC10 on the Perception check as the Wasp moves around and surveys the ship can see that each of the openings at each platform appears to be an open archway without door or gate.  The inside of the tree is well-lit with a cheery yellow light, bright enough to make looking through one of the archways difficult and further details inside impossible to see.  Amid the swirling rainbow ephemera of the phlogiston, each archway looks almost like a miniature star against the solid black bark of the great tree.

Anyone who beats a DC15 on the Perception check notices slick trails of ooze or slime glinting faintly in the reflected glow of light around several of the entrance archways on the bottom-most level and between the southernmost entrances of the second and third floors.

Melville, still waiting on a perception check from you.

Anders is ritual casting an Augury with the question of "Should we land on the topmost landing area of the tree?".  He will have that finished in another minute or two.

Bazz had made sure everyone was aware he was new to Spelljamming so mostly he's been deferring to the others unless he had a question or suggestion.  While people are deciding, Bazz studies the Tree, landing areas and glowing archways, trying to find some clue to what would be the best course of action.

A moment of inspiration hits Bazz and using a piece of scrap paper from Melville's bag, makes an impromptu occluding viewing tube.  With this crude device you are able to see that most of the entrances appear to lead into a central chamber on each floor.  The source of the light appears to be in the center of this chamber on each floor, although exactly what that source is, is still impossible to tell.  The southern most entrance on the bottom floor and the northern entrance on the third floor are dimmer and appear to have a wall or something between the entrance and the central light source.  Conversely the light at the top is brightest.

Anders finishes his Augury and says that the portents in the stars indicate weal and good tidings for landing on the top floor.

"Anders said it would be good and bad," Bazz replies.  "What if the good is, there's lots of treasure but the bad is, you're going to die!"  Bazz looks at Anders and asks, "Are you able to do another ritual for us starting at the bottom.  I'd like to have a second option before we jump into anything."

Bazz pauses for a moment then says, "You know what?  You're right.  I'm sorry Rupert.  I got a little ahead of myself.  So let's go where the Augury pointed."
