The First Mission - (Chapter 1)

[Marcus Brand]

Marcus nods with the Sarge's assessment and straps his greatsword to his back while shouldering his plasma cannon.

[Viego]

Viego, perks up, "Do you want me to scout via air with the SAMAS?"

[Nolan Randall]

"Alright then, lets find somewhere to park this beast out of sight and off the road, we will set a perimeter, while Aaron and Viego recon the town."

"We will est the perimeter where we can monitor the town's approaches and see who enters and leaves.".

He looks at Aaron and Viego, "You two scout, one hour tops, no more,then you meet us back and the APC and report. And I cannot stress this enough. No matter what you see do not engage. You are to recon only and get out. You engage and you'll be fighting your way out alone. Is that understood?"

Wait wait wait. When Viego mentioned the SAMAS it made Aaron abruptly remember something. He reached over to a console nearby and punched a few buttons on it. A quiet whirring noise was heard above their heads as a small roof compartment opened up. Almost forgot. I swear I need to make an itemized checklist for this thing... He opened the passenger side door to reveal a small, rectangular drone floating nearby. Say hi to our scout 'bot.

Sensors, audio and photo recording, infrared, UV, telescopic lens, the whole buffet, plus auto-pilot. Even has a little self-defense system, just in case.

We can let the drone handle aerial recon while we do a perimeter check. It'll keep the rest of you in the loop and is a lot less...conspicuous than the SAMAS. Sorry Viego but your ride is like a monster truck with wings.

[Nolan Randall]

"I meant invisible, without the SAMAS.  We can overwatch with the drone. We'll gain more information with actual boots on the ground than the drone ever will."

"Viego, the SAMAS is like scouting with a fighter jet." 

[Marcus Brand]

Marcus smirked and shook his head at Viego's comment. "Sorry LT. He'd probably fuck in that SAMAS if he could." He readied his Plasma Cannon and moved out to help establish a parameter.

[DM Spiral]

(DM - Viego, Aaron, and Khayman, Orders are given, post up what actions you are taking, how you're attempting them, whose operating the drone, etc.)

(DM - Marcus, roll Perception and Wilderness Survival.)

You sense the edge of a ley-line almost exactly at the ten mile mark.  But no rift.

(DM - Nolan, roll Undercover OP's too see how well you hide the APC and the Operating Position.)

[Viego]

Since Viego's invisibility is a psionic power and it has a limited duration of around 1-2 minutes at max, he is happy to let Aaron scout a head, while he watches the mans back. Viego isn't really good at stealth as he has no actual training in prowling or stealth like tactics. He wanted to learn it but... flying was much more fun. Still he tries his best and mostly follows Aaron for a bit, keeping him in sight because even when Aaron is invisible Viego can track him. Once they find a spot, Viego is happy to fly the drone and use it to scout using his telemechanic to make sure he has the skill to use the device.

[Aaron Brand]

Aaron left the apc with his sniper rifle and took point on scouting, turning invisible and moving along the edge of the road. Once the town was in sight just at the horizon, he stepped off the road and into the grass, moving in a semi-crouched position to minimize noise.
