Intiative #Character
13DeGleash Plasmoid
8Melville
7Bazzalan
6Rupert
4Anders

Nothing but the sound of sloshing water comes from the back room.  Bazz is unsure if the creature heard him, or was capable of understanding him, but it sure wasn't reacting to him.

With Rupert now come to his senses, Bazz motions for him to move deeper into the room so he can follow.

"We don't need to be enemies.  If you were only defending yourself, like we were, then this was all a big misunderstanding.  We may be able to provide you with travel to the next port."

Rupert will move foreward cautiously, holding his attacks watching for signs of aggression from the psuedopod.

[[Is Rupert moving into the room at the back of the ship? It only takes 10' of movement to get to the door.]]

Approaching the door into the back room, Rupert sees several crates and boxes that have been roughly pried open and appear mostly empty at a glance.  Through the open door, Rupert can see that just inside the room is a roughly 5' wide metal grating making a walkway around roughly half the room, ending at the bottom of the ladder to the Weapons Deck directly across from the door.  Underneath the grating is a slightly domed pool of slightly greenish water that fills a fair portion of the volume of the room below the gravity plane.  This pool ripples and moves seemingly randomly and without apparent cause.

@Melville, what are you doing?

Got you, I had thought your round 4 post was from the previous round.

Rupert will move as far as the edge of the metal grating, holding his attacks watching for signs of aggression from the pseudopod.

Bazz will continue to follow, speaking calmly  but ready to shoot if the creature gets aggressive.

"Think about this," Bazzalan says calmly. "There is nothing to gain from this fight.  We mean you no harm.  If we did we would just call for reinforcements.  But we haven't because we don't want this to escalate any further.  Please, I beg of you.  Let's put an end to this misunderstanding."

Melville finally overcomes the fear enough  to begin to come forward.  As he moves up behind Bazz, he says.

"Tell it to come out peacefully or I will electrify the water, repeatedly."

Hius tone is completely neutral, as if he were simply commenting on the weather.

Round 5

Melville and Bazz move forward and as Bazz speaks into the room, the trapdoor in the ceiling up to the weapons deck swings open, and Anders peers down into the room.  He makes eye contact with Rupert and shakes his heard, indicating that he sees no sign of the thing from above either.

As everyone looks into the pool room, the only responses to Bazz and Melville's comments are an irregular burbling noise coming from the far right corner (the one not covered by the walkway).

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
