Missing Caravan
"Fine fine, see ya then."  Then he double takes at the woman 'Da Hell?!'  Mardak was about to ask her what's wrong but decides not to as the mind can only take so much.  Mardak the Mad knows far too well that feeling.  So he goes back to looking up at the sky hoping for something come for him.

For the most part the night has been quiet.  There has been a couple of strange noises but whenever they've been investigated, small animals have been found to be the likely suspect.  During Betimi's and Mardak's shift the sky has cleared up allowing for perfect star gazing.  As Mardak is looking up at "his girls" he is suddenly distracted by something moving in the sky.  His eyes widen as what he sees is a familiar and terrifying sight from his own continent.  It's large and moves silently through the sky on wings that span some 20'.  Half its body length is tail and from this distance definitely looks like, DRAGON!  It's probably hunting for food and then you suddenly realize that your campfire would make for a good beacon to attract it for a candle lit dinner! Has it noticed it yet??

"What have you done?!?!  I didn't mean that!!!"  He says to his girls as he scrambles for his sword and shield, and most importantly, his hat.  His armor can wait.  Mardak throws sand on the fire and chases after the scaled beast.  "Gots me a dragon!!"  He says to the camp grounds in general.

"Time to fuck it up!!!" He runs after the flying death.

Betimi  jolts in shock when Mardak abruptly starts  kicking sand on the fire, but takes the hint and makes sure it is doused. Then while drawing a shard from the odd crystalline jewelry she gapes at Mardak as he runs off into the night alone after something that will likely eat him.

"Mardak, get your ass back here.. stand fast with your allies you fool!"

Spotting the Dragon

Mardak continues onward with one thing on his mind, revenge.  "Malstryx ya sonofabich!!  Get yer skinny arse down here!!!"

[OoC: Just asking, Is Mardak trying to get himself and the group killed? ]

Betimi quickly moves to wake their slumbering companions and hurriedly explain the situation in hushed tones.

"We need to get under cover, Mardak claims he saw a dragon then went racing off into the dark, without light or any ability to see that I am aware of. With only the stars to guide him he is as like to fall into a hole as he is to find that dragon, and if he does find it..." She leaves the rest unsaid.

[OoC she cares for Mardak but her past makes her pragmatic, she will see to the ones she can protect first]

Selina wakes up as Betimi awakens her, listens to her update and her eyes widen. She then rolls her eyes, rubs the bridge of her nose and mutters

"Goddess-damnitall can we not have one day without him rushing off on his own or trying to get himself killed? Just one day!"

She sighs and moves over to her possessions, hurriedly finding her sling, mace and shield. Her symbol was already around her neck, she would never go anywhere without it.

((Has the guard healed at all and has she rested enough to gain a level?))

[OoC: The guard has regained 5 hit points from rest. Did anyone else take regular damage?

No one has gained a level yet. You are still around 370xp off from 2nd level]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
