"Are you and Jendu going to stop this verbal sparring so we can do business then? Otherwise our business is at an end. This behaviour is not acceptable. Intimidating clients because your feelings and sense of honour iare injured is no way to do business, unless you are in the habit of rejecting contracts."

"if you do want to reject this contract, just let me know, and we can both walk away without ill will."

Jendu keeps quiet and lets the man speak to Korstyn.  When he first met Korstyn she seemed a little intense.  She insulted a Wookie by calling him a, 'walking carpet,' and when the wookie reacted like anyone would expect an unfriendly Wookie to react, by threatening to do her bodily harm, she dared him to, 'Bring it,' while they were locked up in a prison.  And now they were once again in a similar circumstances.  She chose derogatory descriptions, like 'pretty boy' and 'kid' that were more suited to bar than a negotiating table.  In any case, despite their initial lack of proper situational etiquette, he needed to avoid petty squabbles and get the negotiations moving in the proper direction.

"Woryn, please accept my apology," Jendu replies.  "The last time Korstyn and I met was a few years ago at the prison I told you a little bit about.  It was a harrowing experience to say the least and I think we were both just extremely surprised to see each other.  I cannot speak for Korstyn but for my part, I may have been a little verbose and acted more familiar with Korstyn than I should have after 2 years.  For that I apologize to both you and Korstyn for any awkwardness."

Jendu then summons another server and asks them to bring them each a local beer, or water, if they prefer.  Once everyone has something to drink, Jendu raises his beer to both Woryn and Korstyn and says, "To forgotten slights and productive negotiations!"  He waits for a second to make sure they're drinking and then he will join them.

When the toast is done, Jendu says, "Woryn, one thing I can say about Korstyn is she's fearless.   I've seen her stare down a wookie, armed with nothing but her bare fists.  We need someone who is tenacious and won't back down.  I think Korstyn fits those requirements perfectly."  Despite the terrible first impressions, Jendu wanted to turn Korstyn's seemingly poor attitude into an asset but at the same time he was starting to think that maybe this new group's sudden arrival was fortuitous.

It was honestly better that Jendu had spoken up, because Korstyn was ready to bite off a particularly sharp retort at Worm.  Worm?  Wormer?  Warmer?  Warmyn?  Whorin?  Whatever.  She slowly turns and walks back to the table where they are seated, staring the man down as she listened to Jendu ramble on.  Slowly, her fists unclench, her posture relaxes, and she nods acceptance.  She accepts the mug and raises it, but does not take her helm off.  She's still not ready to do that yet.

"What's the specifics?"  Ever one to get to the point, she is asking about the job itself.

[[Sorry about the delay in posting. Been drawing toddler duty a lot lately. I've noticed the site made a few changes lately. I like the click slide on the side to access linked characters, but the color palette is a bit too simplistic for my taste. Oh well.]]

[OoC: I haven't posted much either.  It was my weekend to work and I just didn't have time to get online.  I hope things are going better with your little guy.  My client, shockingly gave the yelling a rest for the weekend even through he was awake for 46.5 hours.

I just noticed what you meant by color palette being too simplistic.  I would have to agree.   Confused ]

[OoC2: Shunna still has to look through the supplies to see what she wants.  I will try to get that done tonight after I get some sleep. ]

Shunna looks at everyone.  "So have we decided?"

{OoC: even though they are technically the same size category, doue to the amount of variance in the actual relative sizes I would use the rule of cool to allow the Wild Card (Ubi's XS-800) to actually fit into the Wayfarer's hangar. Burt itr would mean that no other vehicles other than the speeeder bikes ould fit. That is if he ever gets his ship back. The reason is theXS-800 narrow profile. the reason why the Lambda shuttle would not fit is that huge vertical stabilizer mzkes it way too tall. A ship like the Millenium Falcon, would be too wide, even thouygh it is shorter than the XS-800.

The Wayfinder is pushing the upper limit of the size category.. almost going from Collossal to Collossal(frigate) Sort of how someone 4' feet tll is size Medium, nd someone 8 feet tall is also size Medium.}

[[Korstyn is a tech specialist. With enough credits and time, she could add some seriously useful mods to the Bulwark... and other devices/weapons/droids/etc.]]

[OoC Dez alreeady has starship weaponry and pilot, what she needs to get is Use computer]
Dez comes to a realization, that may have been over looked.

"Ubi, Shunna, the shuttle has a class 1.0 hyperdrive?  Ubi, how fast is the Wild Card? How long did it take to get to Generis in the Lambda?"

There is one key thing about the tech specialist feat to remember, that keeps it from breaking the game.

From the rules: https://swse.fandom.com/wiki/Tech_Specialist

You can make custom modifications to Armor, Weapons, Vehicles, Droids, and devices.

Prerequisite: Trained in Mechanics

Effect: You can modify a device, suit of Armor, Weapon, Droid, or Vehicle so that it gains a special trait. Specific traits are given on the table below. You may perform only one modification at a time. Unless noted otherwise, you cannot grant more than one benefit to a single device, suit of Armor, Weapon, Droid, or Vehicle, and you cannot apply the same benefit more than once.

So you cannot enhance the shields, durability, Dexterity, and speed. You'd have to pick one.

Zero, Shunna, Dez, Ubi.. anything in the equipment locker that you collectively want to sell here trhe rebels will buy, they can use all of it, weapons, medical supplies even rations. The only thing you cannot sell her is the remaining parts of the droid H&-MK2... unless you want t trade him and the speeder bikes for a starfighter.

H7-MK2 has a value of 12,630cr / 2 = 6,315 cr
Speeder bikes have a used value of 1,200 cr each = 4,800cr

you woul;d have to include some other items to make up the difference.. but it would be doable

a used cloakshape has a value of 15,000 cr

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
