[IC] Black Hills Caves: Exploration Day 2
#81
[OoC: Squares occupied by another creature gives the target +4 to AC.  See below.  But you missed anyways...]

Quote:If any line from this corner to any corner of the target’s square passes through a square or border that blocks line of effect or provides cover, or through a square occupied by a creature, the target has cover (+4 to AC).

[OoC: Splash damage is always minimum damage so I don't think you meant "66 acid damage or half."  And the quote you pasted states "0d8" and "0d4" as bonus acid damage.  Is that suppose to be 1d8 and 1d4?  ]

The splash damage is 6. My num-pad key spazzed.  I get my intelligence bonus to damage on my bombs, including splash.  the 0d8 and 0d4 things are in the character sheet from pcgen as placeholders when I level

it is just straight 1+5 = 6 splsh damage   reflex for half.    at this level an auto 3 damage is pretty awesome.

The acid rains down on both Oozes.  One Ooze shrivels up and dissolves.  The other is damaged but still active.

Cyn then shoots between Essacus' legs and the shot only grazes the creature.

Gurkagh then basically drops a rock on the Ooze.  It's thin outer membrane bursts under pressure, squeezing gel-like fluid out through where the viscous sack breached.

[Both now dead.  Whatcha going to do now?]

Gurkagh pulls out huis javelin and begins to poke through the three mounds, to see if the oozes had any trinkets.

"Help look.."

Perception +5 [1d20+5] = 11+5 = 16

Reawyn will do as asked and start digging through the piles with his spear.

Perception [1d20+4] = 8+4 = 12

E.S.S.A.C.C.U.S-10 will assist in searching the mounds,
Perception Check = [1d20+8] = 18+8 = 26

When you start messing about the mounds, you find that each mound has a dead halfling under it.  They have all been looted and judging from their corpses you believe what killed them were the fire beetles and then the slimes got hold of them.  Essacuss does manage to find in the vest of the central halfling, a 55gp Agate.

|We should set them on the shore ion the other room on the beach. They need to be returned to theior families, but we have at least one other body to collect."

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
