[IC] New Crobuzon & the World Beyond
[[Selina's just about unconscious now.  The only thing keeping her at 1 hp is Steely Resolve, which will reset at the end of her turn and hit her with the 5 delayed hp and knock her out.  Brutal round, that one.]]

Selina is battered repeatedly by the attacks, barely conscious enough to note Tomeal exploding next to her.  Head ringing from the pain of multiple attacks, she is forced to a knee, one hand over her heart, the other using the blade like an oversized cane to keep her steady.  She whimpers, coughs, blood splattering out from her lips as her world begins to fade.  Well...at least...I will learn...the truth now.  One way...or another.

Selina knows that she will not last much longer, and Tomeal will be gone soon after.  She can only pray...that she has enough left...to keep the others alive...just a few moments longer.  She takes a few breaths, head aching as she struggles to lift it.  Her eyes narrow as she struggles to focus, hand fumbling for her link to her goddess.  One...last...gasp...left.

A gentle light touches her, and for the briefest of moments, she can breathe a little more easily.

Let us pray...: [1d4+8] = 3+8 = 11

[[Selina regains 11 HP, then takes the 5 hp from her Steely Resolve. She has 7 HP and Steely Resolve left.]]

[[EDIT: Moving through difficult terrain prevents 5' steps, so...do we not get AoOs against these things as they move around?]]

[[Oddly, neither Selina nor Tomeal feel quite ready to fall unconscious just yet..]]

SURPRISE!!  Adjusting damage totals... (And one day I hope you figure out why!   Tongue )

Selina:  43 damage/38 with steely resolve!
Tomeal: 43 damage

Arcana: [1d20] = 16

[[Hm...is that enough?]]

[OoC: Unfortunately they all moved within threat range and then stopped.  So no one gets an AoO.  Just like I wouldn't give any of the little ones an AoO if one of you stepped into a threatened square and then stopped.  It's only the act of stepping OUT of a threatened square that causes an AoO. ]

[It would be a Spellcraft check.  And the base DC would be at least 20!  But adding your +6 from Spellcraft to the 16 you rolled would give you a 22 which is just enough to realize you got an Aid spell from somewhere.  Now you can add your own +1 morale bonus to your attacks instead of me secretly doing it.  Tongue  I will adjust the status effects in the next post.

So to be clear, you (and Tomeal) have +2 to hit these creatures.  You have +1 unnamed bonus from Dark Knowledge and +1 morale bonus from Aid.]

[Don't forget to make a Torque check DC16.  You get your level +5 from the wand on a d20]

Anti-Torque: [1d20+9] = 18+9 = 27

[[Not quite ready yet indeed. And if Ning uses some 3-Dimensional thinking for his turn...]]

Kubo draws his handaxes and swings at the critter that attacked him.
Handaxev(Primary) Attack=[1d20+0] = 8+0 = 8 +1 for MW = 9, Handax(Primary) Damage=[1d6+3] = 4+3 = 7Dmg Dang it!
Handaxe (Offhand) Attack=[1d20-2] = 11-2 = 9, Handaxe (Offhand) Damage=[1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6Dmg Double Dang it!

Ning is going to fly to F6 (first flying back to D6 then through E6.. he sees that these things have reach and he wants no part of that )

He spits fire again in a cone to hit E.F and big creature 2.   He is aware he will hit some fur-bees but at this point they need to drop these creatures fast.

Spitfire - Fire [3d6] = 9, + Acid [3d6] = 14 Reflex save  DC14 for 1/2 = even with vomplete immunity to fire that will not be bad.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
