[OoC: Too late, if you didn't already notice, I changed the critter's token an animal pelt.   Tongue  ]

[Betimi can't technically see the last critter at the start of her round.  But she only needs to move one square (which due to rough terrain is 10') to the south-east and she'll spot him.  ]

Betimi moves the 5' fcloser [move action], and a stroke of lightning lances down, but it only grazes the creature because she didn't quite position it properly.

Lightning Strike [3d6] = 4 4 damage Refl. for 1/2 DC:16

[OoC:  Wow!  That is a really bad roll!   Confused ]

Betimi moves toward the flash and crouched among the burning vegetation she spots one of the creatures.  She points at the beast and with a bright flash a jagged bolt of lightning crashes down upon the creature.  But the wary creature rolls with the blast, leaving its flank slightly singed.

Reflex save: [1d20+8] = 15+8 = 23; Succeeded; Damage: +2

Quote:Monster A: Succeeded; Coat! Very unconscious!
Monster B: Failed; UNCONSCIOUS!
Monster C: Failed; UNCONSCIOUS!
Monster D: Succeeded; 9 damage!

Dog runs over to Selina and takes a position at her side.

The creature makes a few alien mewling sounds from pain but then opens its many toothed vertical mouth.  Through the smoke you see a bright red light appear deep inside it's throat.  Suddenly a high-pitched, beam of bright energy fires out of its mouth and Tomeal yells when it burns a hole into his chest! [11 DAMAGE!]

Range touch attack: [1d20+6] = 15+6 = 21, Damage: [3d6] = 11

Suddenly through scent and vibration, Ning/Nang detects two more creatures enter the area of their blindsight (60').  Just as he's about to warn the group, three more high-pitched beams of energy blast Tomeal, burning holes in his arm, leg and collar bone!!  [+28 damage!!]

Range touch attack: [1d20+6] = 14+6 = 20, Damage: [3d6] = 8; HIT!
Range touch attack: [1d20+9] = 18+9 = 27, Damage: [3d6] = 12; HIT!!
Range touch attack: [1d20+9] = 4+9 = 13, Damage: [3d6] = 8; HIT!!!

Tomeal yells in pain as the beams turn flesh to ash.  He's staggering but amazingly he's still standing!  [39 total DAMAGE!]  Confused

Initiatives for ROUND 3:  SPOT CHECKS AGAIN!  [These spot checks are only while you're in the dense vegetation.  Once you're in the clearing, you can see as well as your light or darkvision permits.  Also, if your range of sight reaches the burnt out area, you can see into it because most of the matter that was obstructing your view is now burnt away.]

  1. Ning 23.4  [BLINDSIGHT!  Nang shares his Blindsight with his host.  No need to make spot checks to see the creatures within 60'.]
  2. Kubo 19.6; See 10 FEET!
  3. Selina 16.1;
  4. Simon 15.5; Spot: [1d20+10] = 6+10 = 16; See 15 FEET
  5. Tomeal 15.2; Spot: [1d20+5] = 15+5 = 20; See 20 FEET!
  6. Betimi 14.4; See 15 FEET!
  7. Dog 14.2; Scent
  8. Monster A 12.5
  9. Monster B 12.6
  10. Monster C 12.7
  11. Monster D 12.8
[It's now EVERYONE'S turns.  ]  [NING YOU HAVE A PM!]

You can see the creature beside Tomeal at F13 because the area has been burnt out.

[OoC: with a speed of 30', how far can kubo move considering the terrian and vegitation?]

Ning is going to use the scroll of Haste.

Torque check [1d20+5] = 9+5 = 14 (+5 if the wand suceeded last round, you didn't say)

I do not know what spells Nang has memorized , or if he can even cast if Ning is.

[Each square is 10' within the jungled area.  Even if it's burnt.  So you could move to E10 and then throw an axe. Remember you can pull out a weapon as part of your move action.  So if you have extra axes, you can throw one and then pull another weapon out to rearm yourself.]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
